Maternity trousers

I have a problem getting trousers. Reason is, I'm fat round the waist so buy trousers to fit that area means the legs are huge. My legs are thin compared to the hip and waist size. Someone on here a few years back suggested maternity trousers but I didn't like the idea. Anyway decided to give it a go and great, I bought trousers two sizes smaller and now no flappy legs.

What do you wear over them? Do you cover your tum with a long top down to the crotch or can you wear them with waist-length tops?

I always wear longish tops that cover my hips and these are fine you can't see anything untoward. In fact I've just bought these from Dorothy Perkins

and very happy with them

They look great. Such a good idea I've often thought I should try on maternity pants when I saw them drastically marked down in price. As a teenager I found boy/men's jeans to be a better fit cause I had a thick waist and no bum.

I wear maternity jeans and have done so for years.
