How old is too old for an Alice band?

My 58 yr old friend wears one with a silver bow on shock
I think it would very much depend on the style/colour i.e. thin brown band on brown hair.

I'm growing my hair long at the moment and have it in a bob. It's quite thick, so constantly swings in front of my face. I've read that Alice bands are making a comeback and this would keep my hair in place nicely. Is there an age limit do you think?
