M&Sbig knicker controversy

I have changed to bamboo pants and socks and they are supremely comfortable especially the seamless pants which are highish but not too high that they show over trousers! Environmentally friendly too. Bam and Thought are good makes. Fatface is great for pyjama bottoms- warm enough to wear round the house and come in nice checks. M&S lost the plot a long time ago imo and I shop in a great variety of places to get what I need now and I usually buy when on sale and online largely.

I have for years bought Tesco cheap and cheerful cotton briefs. They are very comfortable.

I agree, cc...M&S knickers are rubbish compared to previous quality and fabric. Markies don't seem to grasp that if you sell a good product, customers will return to buy. Their so called fashion is rubbish...more quality classics required, like in the 'old days'
Try Woolovers for jumpers...they have lovely styles and colours and garments last forever.

These M&S knickers are brilliant - really comfy and no seams. Unfortunately they don't do them in black, but the blue is nice

My favourite and most comfortable knickers are from Sainsbury. My only gripe is they come in 3 pack mixed black white (2 of one 1 of other) & I now have loads of white ones I rarely wear so wish they did 3 all same. My second favs are from asda. Gave up on m&s ones years ago when the elastic kept unstitching after couple washes and their sizing went to pot!

How I envy you ladies and your knicker problems ! For sometime now I have been forced into 'nappies' due to an over enthusiastic bladder ! LOL

Plus one for Sloggi, and also Playtex. Seam at the back. Very comfortable, wash and wear very well.

I was a Sloggi fan until I tried M&S NoVPL knickers. I love them as they are soft, with no lacy edges to rub sensitive parts. The side seams are no bother at all, so I don't understand why they should change them. I'd better get to their shop and buy up the last stock before they change.

Don't wear M&S nicks but am amazed somebody actually listened to the customers. Maybe this is just the start..

I have one large pair of M&S pants which my daughter gave me when I had stayed over an extra night after DGS2 was born and I had run out of my own pants.
They were only really suited to a pregnant mother.

I have a fairly small backside as my two C sections will tell.

I have no problem with M&S knickers, always worn them & all mine have side seams. I am a size 22 so by no means small & I wear full briefs, never seen "big pants" that all the fuss is about. Can't say I've noticed much difference with the material & never had the elastic unravel, maybe my washing machine is super gentle, I always use Fairy pods in my machine & wash at 40C.

Maybe I've been lucky but I would never buy mine anywhere else

I prefer Playtex to M & S.

I dislike buying anything with seams which appear to be straight when you buy the item but twist after being laundered, never to be straight again.
This goes for t-shirts, camis and some cotton pants (knickers)
I bought a multi pack of white midi pants for £8 in H&M (made in China) and they are far better than M&S (made in Bangladesh)

I only wish all M&S pant were made in Bangladesh. Obviously not all of them are.

At least it sounds as if they're actually listening to customers. Now, about their dresses ...

No probs for me as I’ve not shopped in M&S for years, do get Sloggi if I find them on special offer somewhere as they are so expensive. But mostly stick to Asda, inexpensive but very good quality.

My main complaint is that a year or two ago they changed their labels (on all garments ) from smooth silky feel ones to rough scratchy ones. These are worst on shirts etc where they itch the back of my neck so I have had to remove them.
