Panache I'd rather pay their p&p than take an hour to get to the nearest shop and spend ages looking for something...then repeat the process if I decide I dont like it as much once I'm home .I use Hermes for returns and they're picked up fromhome an dare reasonably priced ,certainly cheaper than the PO

Moocow........... indeed yes,you are kept informed by QVC themselves and yes you can track orders.
My only complaint with buying from them is what I think their excessive P&P charges.
I don`t know if I am alone in this?

What are their deliveries like? I hate the idea of having problems with orders being left on the doorstep while the driver dashes to the next house. Can you track orders online?

Most of my clothes come from shopping channels - mainly QVC. I admit some are awful but I often look at myself and think nothing I'm wearing (including underwear) came from a shop! I too like being able to try things on at home with other clothes to decide whether they really suit me. I'm not too successful with shoes though having strange feet but at least you can wear these around the house before deciding they hurt then send them back.

Quite frankly since shopping, including clothes shopping has become too much of an effort because of ongoing mobility issues, I have turned to certain catalogues, and yes,QVC............ which have in fact proved quite a boon.
Clothes and all manner of goods can be easily tried on in the comfort of one`s home, especially trying them with differing items already in one`s wardrobe, and the fact you have the time to ponder, plus of course, their guaranteed money back no quibble has proved invaluable.
An especial help when testing out various cosmetics for example........where else can you take back a half used jar of something and get your full refund?
However their P & P charges are rather steep it must be said.
As for quality and prices, having had my finger burned occasionally I have learnt which companies to trust and indeed I find them invaluable.
Whilst the presenters have become "distant pals" when I have been stuck in bed for weeks!!!They have given me many a smile!!Whilst yes some of their patter truly grates!
Also one can easily get carried away and spend more than one really should..............but hey we walk this way but once and shrouds do NOT have pockets!!
A case of where ever one chooses to shop.....You pay your money and you take your choice. These shopping channels have their place for some but of course for those that can go and enjoy both window shopping and a browse indoors nothing beats a wander around the Shopping Centre........if your purse is nicely padded of course!

I buy a lot from QVC ,its brilliant having the chance to try it on with different things and see where it will fit into my wardrobe.I've had no issues with quality ,they do some really well known brands ,of course not all of it suits everyones taste .I have always been able to recommend them for clothes and have often had compliments about their clothes .I too have sent stuff back within the 30 days with no problem at all .

I agree it can be hilarious especially when the presenters’ patter gets ridiculous.
However....I have bought Skechers from QVC since our local Brantano shoe shop closed and they have honoured their 30day unconditional refund policy on occasion.
Horses for courses I suppose.

I amuse myself by watching these channels sometimes. I can't believe how much the presenters have to say about each item. Sometimes one of them will be wearing something that they are selling and her pal will be full of praise. I usually shout at the screen "It looks bl**dy awful, take a look in the mirror woman!" If I find myself starting to think that maybe I will send for something I change the channel quickly in case I succumb!! shock

What do other Gransnet members think about the clothes for offer on the TV selling channels? While having my morning cuppa I’ve been viewing what I can only discribe as ‘horrors’ a blouse for nearly £50 that I think could have come straight from the late Queen Mother’s wardrobe, a black dress also available in school uniform green which was miles shorter at the front than the back and a blue andwhite ankle length dress that I thought was a nightie.Of course all the presenters drool over them as gorgeous but as for me, no thank you
