Actually, I smiled whilst taking my vows. We're still together 31 years later and very much in love. My husband smiled, too. I think it had something to do with being happy at what we were doing - a very precious thing to us. The vows were very special.

I really don't understand why posters have said that Harry sees Meghan as a mother substitute. Could someone please explain? I have said I am troubled for Harry and I am. I really hope I can warm to her but as yet I cannot, I was uncomfortable with her poses when they announced their engagement. I was uncomfortable seeing a bride smile whilst exchanging marriage vows, I see nothing natural in her, perhaps this will change in time.

anniebach I think we must live in a parallel universe! I saw a lovely woman who hasn’t sat on her backside thinking that the world owes her a living, marry someone who could so easily sit on his backside doing nothing too.

Elton John fat. Music wonderful. Preacher heart felt, genuine, refreshing, but maybe a little too long. Princess Anne had obviously dashed out wearing her dressing gown, having forgotten to put her frock on. Bride's attendants lovely. Anything else?
