I loved it, stylish, chic and very Megan, the tiara was beautiful, she wore it well. Standout outfit for me was Amal Clooney, what a stunning colour, thought Pippa looked gorgeous too, posh, not so much....... what did you all think?

PamelaJ1 Sat 19-May-18 14:09:05

Just loved all of it.
I didn’t put the coverage on until 11am, can’t be bothered with the drivel but IMO very well done everyone.

PamelaJ1 Sat 19-May-18 14:12:48

Sorry didn’t take too much notice what everyone was wearing because I was making a smoked salmon and spinach roulade for supper tonight so missed the arrivals in detail. However Princesses B and E seemed to look lovely too.
Amal wasn’t really joining in with the singing, didn’t see Posh but did notice her husbands lovely tattoos. Such a sophisticated look!

Just got home after tutorial, chasing all over the television for footage of the wedding; but endless collections of talking heads, so tracked it in internet. Have wedding recorded but will sit and watch properly later. Found some pictures; looks beautiful, very classic and stylish, and so does she.

Especially when accompanied by the chewing gum!

Anniebach Sat 19-May-18 14:26:26

The dress was plain which suited a woman in her mid thirties, not the veil.

Daddima Sat 19-May-18 14:26:55

That was in reply to * Pamela*!

Anniebach Sat 19-May-18 14:27:13

Who was chewing gum?

ninathenana Sat 19-May-18 14:29:14

I haven't watched it yet. Have seen pics of the two princesses who IMO looked boring. Victoria looking funerial including her facial expression ! I agree Amal looked amazing. I haven't seen Meghan's dress yet.

Teetime Sat 19-May-18 14:49:18

Totally elegant I thought. Perfect!

hildajenniJ Sat 19-May-18 14:52:20

The music was wonderful. I love Elin Manahan Thomas's voice.
I thought Beatrice and Eugenie looked plain and frumpy, and Posh might smile occasionally! I agree about Amal Clooney's dress and hat, a glorious colour for a beautiful spring day. There were some fabulous dresses and hats.
Lovely day all round, and Meghan's dress suited her perfectly.

She looked lovely, and her veil was beautiful - apparently it was embroidered with flowers to represent every country in the Commonwealth.

SueDonim Sat 19-May-18 15:20:50

I thought the dress and veil were lovely, though the dress didn't fit well over the bust, it was too loose. The flower embroidery was gorgeous. I loved Meghan's mother's outfit, too. Such a pretty colour and gorgeous lace, too.

The York girls I thought looked awful, though their mother looked great.

I was swept away by the flowers, too, all that green and white - gorgeous. Also impressed by the DoE - no walking sticks for him!

Willow500 Sat 19-May-18 15:41:25

I thought the whole thing was wonderful (baring the rather ranting sermon from the American pastor who we thought was never going to shut up!). Megan walking down the aisle alone was classic Hollywood filmesque but so fitting for who she is and taking Charles's arm halfway down was lovely. I'm sure they're very well suited to each other and have brought yet another dimension to the royal family.

NotAGran55 Sat 19-May-18 15:45:50

David Beckham was chewing Annie .

Anniebach Sat 19-May-18 15:55:58

Oh dear, thank you NotAGran

DanniRae Sat 19-May-18 16:06:20

I thought the York girls looked really old fashioned - Why can't they get it right? They have decent figures, they are young and have the money..........I don't understand it????????

Alima Sat 19-May-18 16:24:44

I thought the whole thing wonderful too, the dress, their happiness, the way Prince Charles greeted both Meghan and her Mum. (Really hope Prince Charles and Camilla get a look in with Harry and any future family of his. If you believe the media they get frozen put by the Cambridges). The bridesmaids were beautiful and didn’t those two page boys do a grand job. Thought the American pastor was never going to stop. EMT’s voice was wonderful and perfect pitch. The amazing colourful spectacle of the carriage ride. Lovely to see Prince Phillip walking so well on his new hip.
Never really seen Amal Clooney before, too busy looking at George. Anyone else think she looks like a young Maureen Lipman?

kittylester Sat 19-May-18 16:27:19

I thought she looked lovely and I have been won over as they seemed so much in love! So long as she doesn't ever upset Harry!

I was shocked, but shouldn't have been, by how old some of the royals looked but really, really impressed by the DofE!

stella1949 Sat 19-May-18 16:34:24

Some of the "celebrities" and Royals looked so frumpy - the York girls looked awful and dowdy. These people have SO much money, fashion advisers and stylists, and this was such a big day where you'd want to look your best . So why do they do such a bad job of it I wonder.

BlueBelle Sat 19-May-18 16:46:22

Meghan s dress was fantastic really simple and classical but so elegant loved the long train and the pretty veil and tiara Very little or very subtle make up too
Had no idea who Amal you were talking about was but agree without Sue wouldn’t see her if George was there
I didn’t see any gum chewing but thought poor Victoria looked as sour as a crab apple
I thought Fergie looked lovely but the two girls were dreadful really old frumpy and scruffy looking Camilla looked good pretty in pink
I thought Price Charles was brilliant and it must have been lovely for her to join him half way down that long walk
Her mum looked dignified but lonely I was glad to see Charles have a word with her after the ceremony
Duke of Edinburgh is a trooper but I thought he looked quite ill his eyes were very sunken and dark but at almost 97 he must be on borrowed time
Wonderful weather too
And all this coming from a non royalistwho wasn’t going to watch ??

kittylester Sat 19-May-18 16:58:12

You'd have thought there would be a spare, but personable, royal who could have escorted Meghan's mum - she could have felt overwhelmed.

NanKate Sat 19-May-18 16:59:14

Fabulous wedding Meghan looked the business very happy for them.

I loved Diane’s brother’s wife’s outfit Charles Spencer can’t remember his title.

My oldest friends found out I was on my own unexpectedly, they phoned me at 6.50am and said they were on their way and travelled 100+ miles and brought lunch with them. ??What a wonderful couple.

Elton John’s glasses made him look like Mr. Toad. ?

A very happy day all round.

Gerispringer Sat 19-May-18 17:02:36

I loved the dress - elegant and stylish. Gospel choir - great. Megan’s mum very stylish too. didnt mind the pages’ military look, thought it better than the usual knickerbockers and frilly shirt look.

loopyloo Sat 19-May-18 17:07:52

Kittylester, I totally agree. Someone could have been delegated to keep on eye on her. She did so well.
