I thought it was lovely that Prince Charles had his wife on one arm and Megan’s mum on the other as they left the church. Loved cut all

I loved it, stylish, chic and very Megan, the tiara was beautiful, she wore it well. Standout outfit for me was Amal Clooney, what a stunning colour, thought Pippa looked gorgeous too, posh, not so much....... what did you all think?

A very elegant dress, but the dressmaker should be shot for not adjusting the bodice so it fitted the poor girl's bosom!
Why oh why does HM always look so sour? It's not just old age catching up with her, I remember seeing her on a visit to Paisley in the 1960s and she had the exact same sour look on her face! I realise functions must become boring for the royals, but the Queen Mother always had the good manners to look as if she was enjoying happy occasions.
Although she did look stunning, I too was disappointed when I first saw the dress. It was classic and suited her figure, but surely couldn't!t have taken much 'designing'. I did think that a similar dress could have been bought in a bridal shop, where many beautiful dresses can be found. I loved the tiara, and the veil offset the classic dress very well. I too liked Amal's outfit. I like deep colours, as opposed to pastels. I liked that some of the outfits were 'patterned'. A happy occasion. ( one of the presenters did remark, though, that Mrs Beckham could have smiled )
luzdoh Do you want it spelled out.Why when given serious thought do you believe Meghan wanted to marry a young prince .
I thought the dress and tiara were gorgeous, and I'm sure if M had lost weight even at the last minute , the designer would have altered it. She seems to be enjoying the son -of-a-baptist -preacher -man , but the Queen looked as though she was not amused! Princess Anne seemed to be wearing a dressing gown. So frustrating when people with lovely figures and access to designer clothes can't get it right
I did think Fergie’s greeting with her future son in law was sweet
Loved all of it. Meghan looked spectacular, Harry looked adorable, the pageboys and flower girls were so sweet. Amal Clooney certainly stood out and the outfit was great, but the flowing hair looked messy. I thought Serena Williams looked fabulous, and for understated elegance Norma Major gets my vote, pale lemon and a lovely hat. Princess Anne looked nearly as dowdy as her daughters, but amazingly Fergie looked halfway decent.
All this from the fashion icon who watched the whole thing in cropped denim and a 20-year-old blouse ....
I thought she looked very elegant and classy. I was expecting something a bit more elaborate, lacy or some beads maybe, but I thought she looked lovely. I thought the Queen also looked lovely, the pattern on her dress under the coat looked really pretty. I think that grumpy face is just her normal resting expression! She looks like that whenever I see her. I seem to have developed a similar one myself - I get told to cheer up when I am perfectly happy, which really gets on my nerves and guarantees to put me immediately into a bad mood!
There were parts of the service which were CofE, two hymns and the blessing.
Kate was single and her late twenties, Megan divorced in her mid thirties, Kate gets my vote for most appropriate wedding gown. And thankfully the added grace of being serious during the exchange of marriage vows.
Nankate He is an Earl if you want to know Charles Spencers title.
From what we had seen of Meghan, fashion wise, since her engagement and that straggly hair she was constantly having to flick off her face I thought, ello! wonder what we can expect on the day Could anything be better than what Kate wore on her marriage. ?Sorry Kate but I have to admit Meghan gets my vote.Pity about the fire and brimstone guy What was its purpose ?There are many passages from the bible that are appropriate for a marriage ceremony His party piece was o t t show biz..
Meghan has been baptised into the COE pity the service didn't stick to it.
Starbox I think the fashion for strapless wedding dresses (which I never liked) is dying out now, thank goodness.
I have ?
I havent noticed anyone being attacked!! Obviously we all have different opinions about everything to do with the wedding.
Baffling, criticise queenie, the beckhams, the York sisters , acceptable. Any criticism of the bride is attacked.
Maccyt1955 The cellist is Sheku Kanneh-Mason, the 19-year-old winner of 2016’s BBC Young Musician competition.
He is from the amazing family in Nottingham, East Midlands. They are Black, not mixed-race, as far as I know.
His older sister was playing Rachmaninov in a concert in Nottingham where my choir were singing on the day of the Royal Wedding.
Sheku, Isata ( piano) and Braimah (violin) are at London’s Royal Academy of Music. Their younger sister Konya has just won a place there.

I think Meghan s mum looked amazing. Think I read that she didn’t want to walk Meghan down the aisle. I didn’t think the York girls looked good but well done prince Philip for walking unaided.
Oh .... And yes.. The Cellist was totally and utterly superb!
And yes, the queen looked very mardy - what a shame!!
Meghan looked wonderful I thought - the dress was so simple, classically beautiful, and the Commonwealth flowers sewn on the veil seemed a lovely touch. One of the photos showed the very dark interior of the chapel , with the sun shining on her head and shoulders. However, I do agree with others about Beatrice and Eugenie - having both turned up for William and Katherine's wedding in silly hats - one looked like starched entrails as I recall - this time they looked like a pair of middle aged frumps . When they must presumably have access to practically anything they want, including advice, how did they both manage to look so poorly dressed? Lots of lovely frocks though. I did feel a little sad for Meghan's mother and wished she had been sitting in the royal pew but perhaps she chose to sit and watch quietly and alone.
Loved it .... but as someone said above, how verrrrrrry rude of Charles and Camilla not to look at the couple as they were saying their vows .... I couldn't believe it!!!!!! Tsk!!!
I didn't watch. So I'm glad I missed David Beckham masticating. Ugh! However, I couldn't avoid seeing pics on the News. The dress was good, simple classic. There was a pic of Her Majesty looking dreadful, really cross. Maybe, at her age, it was a long day.
My conundrum is: Why did she marry him?
I can't see what attracted a girl like her to a man like him, particularly with her being older as well.
Ah well, nowt so queer as folk.
Loved every minute of it. Meghan looked gorgeous and, yes, Amal stole the show among the guests.
There is not another country in the world which could have put on a wedding like that.
JanaNana - I agree entirely with you about the York girls. I was watching a spoof programme about the royals and had to turn it off as they were very cruel about the York girls. I felt very sorry for them, and if they had seen some of the programme I'm not surprised that they wanted to remain low key. With all the fuss about their hats last time I notice that what they wore then seems to be very chic now.
Nevertheless I really enjoyed watching the wedding.
Meghan's dress really elegant- just proves my point that those ghastly ubiquitous strapless wedding gowns are really NOT as tasteful and elegant than the more traditional style!
I know it was the couples day, and all very nice viewing, but did anyone notice Tom Hardy.Grrrrr!!!! Bald but beatiful
