Remember this? We could all buy one and wear it as a GN uniform. ?

I wonder who designs their clothes these days?? They should take a look at Next, TU and Uniqlo. Why not ask their customers what they want? They've lost their USP and the competition is fierce.

Jalima1108 Tue 03-Jul-18 19:26:57

Chewbacca is that designed to give you a fuller bust?
It certainly wouldn't disguise one!

annsixty thank you for the laugh!! You'll be able to hump your chest up like Cissie and Ada! grin

Telly Tue 03-Jul-18 19:41:55

Its funny how sometimes you just KNOW things are going to be half price in the sale! Even then you don't want them.

Luckygirl Tue 03-Jul-18 19:50:56

It is beyond belief! They can't seriously expect people to buy them. Germolene pink - love that!!!

NanKate Tue 03-Jul-18 19:52:30

I don’t know if anyone has said this yet, but it looks like a shroud to me. ?

lemongrove Tue 03-Jul-18 19:58:13

A pink shroud, for the fashion conscious corpse?

NanKate Tue 03-Jul-18 19:59:23

Well said Lemongrove.

kittylester Tue 03-Jul-18 20:15:46

Thank goodness - I thought I'd missed out!

lemongrove Tue 03-Jul-18 20:20:12

Buy one, and book your funeral now Kitty grin

Deedaa Tue 03-Jul-18 20:23:08

I can't believe these beautiful dresses haven't sold out before the sale grin The idea of sticking a pocket on the bust and then saying it's ideal for the fuller bust is hilarious. I suppose it is ideal if you want your bust to look three sizes larger.

DD sent me a photo of the school trousers that have just arrived from M&S. Two different styles, but claiming to be the same size. One pair is several inches shorter than the other.

Dire

Chewbacca Tue 03-Jul-18 21:08:06

No Jalima! The tartan dress with full sleeves, high neck, a sticky out skirt and a patch pocket on the chest is to "flatter the fuller bust". sheesh! Some people have no sense of style! grin

Auntieflo Tue 03-Jul-18 22:19:06

Lemongrove, what a great idea. Let's all buy one of the pink 'shrouds' and put them in the bottom drawer for one's final outing. In the sale they should be good value, if we wait long enough. It won't even matter if they only fit where they touch. ? (Apologies if I have hurt anyone's sensibilities).

lemongrove Tue 03-Jul-18 22:34:08

Perhaps we could get a discount Auntieflo if at least ten of us buy them.
It would give us all a last laugh at least?

Chewbacca Tue 03-Jul-18 23:03:08

Sorry lemon and Auntieflo, but I literally wouldn't want to be seen dead in either of those dresses!

Katek Tue 03-Jul-18 23:12:50

Welcome to Little House on the Prairie......!

SpringyChicken Tue 03-Jul-18 23:39:14

Do you remember the khaki number? The armless trench coat?

Looks like there are still a few of those available too, quick girls!

lemongrove Wed 04-Jul-18 08:47:54

Chewy.....I don’t want to be seen dead at all ( in anything)
I can look bad enough some days, alive! ?

Luckygirl Wed 04-Jul-18 09:01:23

That "trench coat" is absolutely beyond belief - what can they be thinking of?

oldbatty Wed 04-Jul-18 09:02:01

used to love M and S ( sob)

Blinko Wed 04-Jul-18 09:35:46

The trench coat looks awful even on the model.

JustALaugh Wed 04-Jul-18 19:49:51

That's hideous

Deedaa Wed 04-Jul-18 20:08:56

How to make anyone look like a sack of potatoes!

muffinthemoo Wed 04-Jul-18 20:16:15

Give the dress a run with some Dylon red and voila, your Handmaid costume for Halloween.

Also dyeable to blue, brown and green if you would prefer to be of a different Gileadean caste!

May the Lord open!

What were the Buyers thinking? Why don't they go back to what they are good at. Their underwear and classic clothes have always been winners. Why don't they put all trousers together, tops etc. There are too many ranges, I walked through their sales racks to the food section. They just haven't got it right.
