M&S sale...guess what I found! ?

After popping into the sale today (I was able to caress The Dress!) I went into my favourite cafe for lunch. Lo and behold there was an elderly lady wearing The Dress! It made her look like her own great granny

I did actually buy a nice little T shirt, but I hardly think the £5 I paid for it will solve M&S's problems.

Do you think that she liked it so much, she paid for it and wore it there and then Deedaa ( like children with new shoes.)

Oh I love the tartan dress, I would wear it with my cowboy boots and cowboy hat.

I've been reading the reviews which describe it as Chloe or Anna Mason chic to be worn with ankle boots and a black biker jacket. I never did have much fashion sense.

lemongrove the cafe is only a short walk from M&S so she could have changed into it she did look quite happy with it. Don't think she could be on GN!

Does it come with a matching mob cap?

Who would buy these!! M&S dresses are a disaster this year. Why don't they listen to us!

The pink dress looks like it could be a party dress for the Handmaid' s in the Handmaid's Tale.

The modek does not look happy. The dress is just AWFUL.

That is just hideous! And the price of it! Who do they think is going to buy this stuff? And has any body noticed that the poor girl has been put in shoes that are two sizes too big? I see that a lot on fashion pages - why can't they supply several sizes if they don't know how big the model's feet are?

Does the pattern on this dress make your eyes go squiffy? It looks like one of those optical illusions to me and I feel slightly dizzy just looking at it.

OMG. I have just looked at all these dresses and cannot believe my eyes. I remember the germolene pink one from a while back but I have not seen the others before. The droopy beige one with flowers and a weird neckline is just awful, well, they all are. For Gawd's sake, MnS, read this thread and get a buyer who knows what we want. We've been telling 'em for long enough. Personally I think they should stick to basic designs in natural fibres.

Anyone notice how badly made the red check dress is. Have a look at the seam joining skirt and bodice. It wanders from being close to the white stripe and then wanders down to about an inch or more into the red and it seems to have been sewn in black or navy.

Could make it better myself and I am NOT a good needlewoman!!

The placket down the front makes the stripes out of sync too, on the red check dress.

It was always instilled in me to cut out extremely carefully and to match up checks when dress-making (best avoided in fact!).

The floral one looks as if it might make a nice nightdress. The striped one nearly gave me migraine just looking at the picture.

I stopped wearing sash dresses with a big bow at the back when I was about 10.

I think M&S have just delved into GGM dressing up box, pulled out a handful, and said "here you go". Aren't they just all so dreadful. (Sorry GGM's everywhere)
