Remember this? We could all buy one and wear it as a GN uniform. ?

I wonder who designs their clothes these days?? They should take a look at Next, TU and Uniqlo. Why not ask their customers what they want? They've lost their USP and the competition is fierce.

sodapop Tue 03-Jul-18 19:23:34

That made me laugh Auntieflo and so true, what were they thinking
The tartan monstrosity is worse, nothing like a strategically placed pocket to emphasise the fuller bust.?

Willow500 Tue 03-Jul-18 19:23:01

grin What fun! I love both these dresses - they'll be great to wear for those relaxing days punting down the river or attending a royal garden party - not!! I despair of M&S - do their buyers not live in the real world where real women wear real clothes?!

Auntieflo Tue 03-Jul-18 19:15:23

The 'germolene' pink dress looks like a refugee from the wardrobe of a maid of all work in Victorian household , just needs the mob cap to complete outfit.

glammanana Tue 03-Jul-18 18:20:51

I could make ruched toilet roll covers if any one interested ?
The plaid dress would cover my dogs beanie bag nicely.

GrannyGravy13 Tue 03-Jul-18 18:16:05

When will those at the top of M & S wake up to the fact that are trying to sell absolute tat that no one in their right mind would ever wear.

Thank goodness that their food buying team are good, as when I am feeling allergic to my kitchen I can always find some tasty morse, to tempt me.

Chewbacca Tue 03-Jul-18 17:46:15

Even their knickers fall apart at the seams. Tu knickers are ace!

TwiceAsNice Tue 03-Jul-18 17:40:24

I wouldn't buy them for 65 or 35 pence never mind pounds. When are M&S going to learn? Even if they sack all their buyers I'm not sure if they'd get it right. Nobody wears these dresses surely every sale there are racks of the same thing that nobody would buy. About the only thing I buy in there now is knickers and the odd toiletries .

mcem Tue 03-Jul-18 17:24:29

charley it's a bit like being offered a free copy of the Sun at the newsagent!
Could we perhaps have the pink as our summer uniform and switch to tartan in October for our winter gear?

mcem Tue 03-Jul-18 17:21:35

Now that's the way to do it, ann!!

Charleygirl Tue 03-Jul-18 17:20:50

Both are hideous but I think that the pink thing takes first prize. I would not take either or both if they were handing them out for free. I am amazed that any have left the shelves.

Mapleleaf Tue 03-Jul-18 17:14:19

The reviews about the pink thing ( well, some of them), amuse me. How fashionable it looks, what lovely cotton it is, etc, etc. Mmm, I think I must be just not with it!! ?

SueDonim Tue 03-Jul-18 16:59:39

That dress is perfect to cut up and make into directoire knickers! grin

Doodle Tue 03-Jul-18 16:26:58

Ooh I don't know which one to get. I might have to pop in and buy them both as they are bound to be the height of fashion for a long time to come grin

Chewbacca Tue 03-Jul-18 16:22:21

We shall look forward to seeing your newly endowed and upholstered figure annsixty. And when you're all encased in that tartan shocker, we won't be able to miss you, will we? grin

lemongrove Tue 03-Jul-18 16:10:35

That dress will be £1.99 by the end of July ( and I still wouldn't buy it) among their many fashion faux pas this year, that one has to be the worst.
Call the fashion police!

annsixty Tue 03-Jul-18 16:07:05

By coincidence I had an order from M&S delivered this morning.
Among other things was a new bra, now I must have had a fat finger or a mad moment but I ordered a size 38 D cup.
I was going to return it but having seen the tartan dress ,I have decided to keep it and grow into it just so I can order the dress as well.
Thank You so much.?

DanniRae Tue 03-Jul-18 15:44:27

I bet they won't have a size 18 - and I will be so disappointed (NOT).
Actually I can't believe how awful it is shock - what was the buyer thinking??

Chewbacca Tue 03-Jul-18 15:43:25

This one is advertised as being for "the fuller bust". Don't you just love the busy pattern, full sleeves and, if that isn't enough to draw the eye to "the fuller bust", stick a patch pocket on 'em!

Mamissimo Tue 03-Jul-18 15:40:34

It was in my personal sale preview - will we all get that because of our previous fascination with it?

Jalima1108 Tue 03-Jul-18 15:39:30

50p - yes please, it could go in the rag bag to make quilts! smile

Mamissimo Tue 03-Jul-18 15:38:45

A total steal at £32.50! Would you like one put by when they’re down to 50p?

Jalima1108 Tue 03-Jul-18 15:38:45

It's still £65 in the link

'Model is 5'9" and a size 8 grin
I think that anyone of 5'5" or under and any larger than a size 8/10 could look like a walking blancmange.

Jalima1108 Tue 03-Jul-18 15:36:05

How much Mamissimo?

We could recognise each other if we go to a meet-up - all dressed in what someone called 'Germolene Pink'
grin

Chewbacca Tue 03-Jul-18 15:33:08

I hope you bought a job lot for us Mamissimo! How much was it reduced to? 50p?
