Sorry Meghan, Kate wins hands down today.
Those trousers are awful.

Jalima1108 Mon 16-Jul-18 12:43:48

No, she's not fluttERBY

However, whilst some women complain that they become 'flat as pancakes' after breastfeeding, others may find the opposite.

Guessing Serena is still breast feeding. Her bust seemed to vary wildly in size from day to day.

maddy629 Sun 15-Jul-18 23:09:31

I agree about Serena's dress but it must have been comfortable, she wore it at every match, although she could have had more than one the same.

Just seen this and had to add when I saw the royals at the tennis, I had just come back from town - wearing a blue striped blouse and white trousers like Meghan’s BUT they fitted me properly and were bought in M&S 3 years ago! I was quite flattered but I bet she wouldn’t be - to think a pensioner had made a similar choice!

Anniebach Sun 15-Jul-18 18:36:19

Kate looked great today , she likes dresses, very wise in this weather

MissAdventure Sun 15-Jul-18 18:27:13

Kate looks middle aged as far as I'm concerned.

grannybuy Sun 15-Jul-18 18:16:57

Meghan reminds me more than ever of the Duchess of Windsor. Those trousers could be from that era.

HannahLoisLuke Sun 15-Jul-18 17:35:20

They both looked lovely in their own way but I prefer Meghans style usually, edgier and more up to date. Can't stand those over long trousers though. Silly trend that started with Victoria Beckham.

Sheilasue Sun 15-Jul-18 17:08:17

Always think Megan looks nice, Katherine used to but gone a bit old fashioned lately but both lovely girls,
Beatrice and Eugene are the worst dressers ever, wonder what the wedding dress will be like.

PamelaJ1 Sun 15-Jul-18 16:32:34

I’ve just spent the day on the coast. My ensemble included a big striped cotton shirt. Very baggy and baggy long shorts (not quite culottes) I bet I was more comfortable than most of the others. My skin benefitted too. Bet Megan was cooler than many others too!

Theoddbird Sun 15-Jul-18 15:43:33

Does it really matter who dressed the best? Not a point for discussion I am sure. I would not like anyone criticising the way I dress as I dress for me...nobody else. Oh and I thought they both looked lovely by the way...they each have their own style perfect for them.

luluaugust Sun 15-Jul-18 15:04:03

Although I think its good they have distinctive styles, I would have been happier in a dress to sit there all afternoon in the heat. I liked Meghan's outfit but could someone please do something about her floppy hair, could Kate lend her a hairnet?!

Catlover123 Sun 15-Jul-18 13:34:08

I agree with Old Meg, I am glad they both have their own style; it would be just awful if they became the same. I liked Megan's blouse, it looked fresh and comfortable for a hot day, whereas I bet Kate wasn't quite so comfy.

tigger Sun 15-Jul-18 12:56:34

Selena's tennis dresses are not very flattering, apparently the long sleeves are for compression since she is prone to blood clots.

Gagagran Sun 15-Jul-18 12:49:50

Meghan's couture outfit drowned her tiny frame. It would have been fine if the shirt had been 2 or even 3 sizes smaller and the trousers had been 6inches shorter.

Kate, as always, looked perfectly dressed for the occasion. She is our future Queen and will do us proud.

Jalima1108 Sun 15-Jul-18 12:29:22

Kate looked like an English Rose and Meghan looked stylishly American.

DanniRae Sun 15-Jul-18 11:52:21

I love the clothes that Meghan wears - so smart and stylish - but didn't like her outfit at Wimbledon. I thought Kate looked lovely, as she always does.
So mabon you think some people have been 'nasty' on this thread - well we were asked by annsixty what we thought of the two duchesses' outfits and, as you would expect, some liked them and some didn't. We clearly have different ideas to what is nasty, that's for sure!

GabriellaG Sun 15-Jul-18 11:34:44

I thought Kate looked pretty and feminine in her dress and Meghan looked, if not dreadful, messy.

Messy hair, baggy shirt with skew-wiff collar and awful trousers which were FAR too long AND with black pointy-toed stilettos. No idea.

MawBroon Sun 15-Jul-18 10:38:57

At the receiving end of your callous comment on “Bereavement” I imagine you do not include yourself in the “nasty lot” hmm

annsixty Sun 15-Jul-18 10:38:01

Well of course we are mabon we all live in glass houses after all ?

mabon1 Sun 15-Jul-18 10:32:27

I sincerely hope that all the gransnetters making disparaging remarks about the two duchesses are perfectly turned out on every occasion. Nasty lot some of you.

harrysgran Sun 15-Jul-18 10:09:56

Frilly knickers are a definite no hard to believe grown women actually wore them shorts or skirts with shorts attached are the way forward if they have any hope of being treat as equals to the male tennis players

Hm999 Sun 15-Jul-18 10:05:39

Assuming we Gransnetters are of a not hugely dissimilar age, I remember in the 60s wearing massively huge wide trousers (not just bell bottoms) and in early 70s, having trousers so long that they not only dragged along the ground, but so long that we all tore off the hems after the trousers had been worn/washed a few times before the hems fell off.
Fashions come around again eventually.

pollyperkins Sun 15-Jul-18 09:52:24

I've just looked at the pictures. I thought Meghan looked smart until I saw a full length photo showing wide trousers trailing on the floor. Not a good look. Kate's dress is lovely.

inishowen Sun 15-Jul-18 09:52:16

The frilly knickers were awful. The same as baby girls wore over their nappies.
