I rarely post unless I have something I feel is worth saying, and after reading this I'd like to say to you Galen that your dress is not only beautiful but it's a perfect shade ofor your colouring, and you look like a film star, and I'm being serious. Thank you for posting , it's brightened my day to see someone looking so beautiful and classy
I dropped some stuff off at the Age UK shop and had a quick nose round. Found a sheer blàck, shirt style blouse covered in silver embroidery. Worn as a jacket with black vest and trousers that's Christmas sorted - and it was a whole £4!
I bought a mid thigh length emerald velvet dress from Primark . I think it looks OK but my son told me I was too old to wear it without tights. I'm actually going to wear it as a tunic with leggings and ankle boots
Thanks GabriellaG. It’ll be boots, or boot to be precise. I’m having a foot op on the 10th, so the left foot will be wearing a surgical sandal! But may put some tinsel on it.
This is a link to the red tunic dress I bought from eBay because it looks fairly festive. It’s a dress length on me so I’ll probably wear it with black tights.
I went to a huge M&S today and looked for dark blue velvet evening trousers. Apparently I can find some online because they didn't quite have any in the store. Were they outside the store if not quite in I wondered to myself?
Keep up oldbatty ... I wasn’t being flippant - I just didn’t want to be perceived as such! It wasn’t about anybody’s dresses. I’d posted earlier about how topics can morph into something else. - it was actually about the use/perception of the word ‘meritocracy ‘! No apology necessary in my opinion!
