Size has nothing to do with it but how you wear your clothes. As you say she had 'attitude'. That is great. I wish I dare show the same panache!!

I have never had the remotest desire to look chic - probably just as well! grin

Sounds good, batty!

gillybob, you do not!

Tallish? Not being obsessed with the size thing, but a larger lady. It was the colour, the skirt which took my eye. I am forever trapped in black bottoms. ( can I say that?)

Also I was at a hospital and everybody looks shocking.

Oh I wish I was noticeable for all the right reasons - I never seem to get it right either. You would think that by now I might have got style sorted.
I often see women 'of a certain age' looking chic and stylish and it doesn't seem to matter whether they're tall, short, fat or thin (although I do agree Jalima that height does help). Some people just have that 'je ne sais quoi', others (like me sad) don't.

[sigh]
I need to up my style, I never seem to get it right!
(although grey is not my colour)

Was she tall, though, oldbatty?
That can make a difference to looking stylish.

I hesitated before writing that . I suppose I have my own issues with body size. She looked bloody marvelous.

Her outfit sounds great oldbatty but I don’t think size has anything to do with style. I’m a size 12 and always look like a bag of slack .

size 18 ish maybe? An older lady with shoulder length grey hair wearing, a pleated checked skirt ( mostly greys), knee length boots, a grey top with a checked woolen poncho, a soft grey beret and orange lipstick.

It looked brilliant.
