Megan’s choice of outfit at the Endeavour awards, what was the stylist thinking? Is it a dress? Is it a shirt tucked in wrong?I have been liking her styling lately but someone missed the mark tonight!

Good grief - what is all the fuss about? The both look full of life, happy and glowing. I bet the outfit was comfortable too.

Just looked up the photos, I thought she looked stunning for a heavily pregnant lady.

Mapleleaf Fri 08-Feb-19 13:33:50

There was some pretty awful stuff, too!

Hollycat Fri 08-Feb-19 13:25:51

And that was Givenchy! Must have cost a lot to look that bad, fancy putting a heavily pregnant woman in a skirt with the blouse tucked in skirt. There used to be really nice maternity wear back in the day - what happened?

crystaltips ye gods the not saying anything nice was to mabonl not you, so many people got out of bed the wrong side this am! You all need to wind your necks in?

crystaltipps Fri 08-Feb-19 13:05:40

I actually have said quite a few positive things about Meghan nannylovesshopping. . Didn’t know my comments so closely monitored, obviously not that closely as I often say nice things about people. Sorry to disappoint. Seems rather strange to say that when I had commented on others negative posts. Still attacking others when you don’t like what they say is fairly p.a.

I havnt seen any pictures of Meghan since the marriage but watch the news, listen to the radio and read a paper yet all this stuff about her has passed me by.
I am no royalist but do feel a bit sorry for her.
Not long ago she was seen as a breath of fresh air, now it seems she can do little right. Give the woman a break. They can’t answer back and it matters not a jot in the scheme of things.

123coco - thanks - just what I was about to write.

annsixty Fri 08-Feb-19 12:11:42

Well OP I'm with you, I thought it was awful and I reserve the right to state my opinion.
You are all welcome to comment on my appearance any time you like.

Gonegirl Fri 08-Feb-19 11:59:05

I think the outfit would have looked good in real life. I liked it.

Gonegirl Fri 08-Feb-19 11:58:04

Re her shoes. I read somewhere on the ever-truthful internet that all the young royals wear shoes a bit too big for them as it's supposed to be more comfortable for their feet when they have to stand for a long time. Wouldn't work for me.

merlotgran Fri 08-Feb-19 11:55:56

123coco, The OP is entitled to comment on an outfit worn by a member of the royal family attending an event which is reported in the public domain. This was not a private function.

Her clothes costs thousands. The fashion industry is important to our economy. Whether or not we like what she chooses to wear we have every right to comment.

These are not personal attacks - unlike yours to the OP

Baloothefitz Fri 08-Feb-19 11:53:46

Personally I think she looked fabulous.

Mapleleaf Fri 08-Feb-19 11:49:29

It looks ok to me.

muffinthemoo Fri 08-Feb-19 11:42:45

I don't like how she dresses - I think she often looks like she's headed to a funeral via the 'Classic' section of M&S - but frankly it's bugger all to do with me. So you do you, HRH Meghan.

adaunas Fri 08-Feb-19 11:42:20

The outfit was appropriate for the occasion and not too revealing but if she hoped people would focus on the event, she failed.
I’m so glad I don’t warrant that level of attention and criticism, but I don’t expect she reads Gransnet, Mumsnet or even the Daily Mail.

123coco Fri 08-Feb-19 11:39:26

Why can’t people just leave her alone! She’s an independent young woman who know her own style. Yes OP I’m talking to you! Perhaps we might think you look a sight. Is this all you’ve got to moan about whilst the country is going to Hell in a handcart?

Lily65 Fri 08-Feb-19 11:25:31

I suppose I noticed it because it just looked kind of wrong. Usually she looks great.

Hm999 Fri 08-Feb-19 11:15:52

I just looked at the photos again, (saw them earlier - didn't think anything of what she was wearing) and now I think the top of the skirt rose up a bit as the evening wore on or after she'd been sitting down. Love the shirt. Btw I too am fed up with the constant criticism, particularly the very spiteful comments in Daily Mail.

Aepgirl Fri 08-Feb-19 11:06:12

Megan will wear whatever she wants, but I would advise her to wear shoes that actually fit her feet, not just because she likes them!

Nannylovesshopping Fri 08-Feb-19 11:06:08

mabonlgenerally yes, pot and kettle come to mind, as you very rarely have anything nice to say about anybody, crystaltipps a bitch fest?? Just my observation, hardly a hanging offence

merlotgran Fri 08-Feb-19 11:04:33

It's not a bitch fest. No need to over dramatize a discussion about a maternity outfit.

crystaltipps Fri 08-Feb-19 10:50:33

Blimey not another Megan bitch fest about her clothes. Leave the woman alone.

mabon1 Fri 08-Feb-19 10:48:28

Leave her alone, none of your business.I can only assume that you are perfectly turned out on e3very occasion.

sarahcyn Fri 08-Feb-19 10:47:12

I guess it's meant to be a sort of nod at the white shirt etc ensemble she wore at the same event last year.
