I've had mine done 3 times. First time when I was 37. The first 2 times by laser which worked really well. Felt like mild bee stings. Red and blotchy for a day or two then fine. The last time I had microwave which didn't work well for my skin as I reacted badly and was covered in sores that took a fortnight to heal. The consultant refunded me in full. I need them done again but have found most places now use the microwave style treatment. When I investigated years ago, you could also get injection type treatment but I've never had that and think it's outdated. Apparently, but I haven't looked into this yet, smaller clinics now do laser thread vein removal. I went to Harley Street first time, a private hospital in Fawkham Kent second time and third time was at a private hospital in Chelsfield Kent. That was the occasion I had the bad reaction. So I will be interested to know if any grans know of any clinics in North Kent area that provide laser treatment. In the meantime I use a concealer under my makeup.
