Mantary and White Stuff

I have bought Mantery maxi dresses in the summer and I’m not fuddy duddy

OK, I'm so glad because nobody likes a fuddy.

I love Mantaray and White Stuff. Fat face might be worth looking at as well.
These brands are comfortable to wear and wash well.

Not only do I like Mantaray, my two daughters (early 40s) like it too, so it's certainly not "grannyish" (the term one daughter uses to describe anythingin my life - clothes, makeup, soft furnishings - that she thinks is too old-fashioned).

Looking at the tops now some in the sale - free delivery if spend over £50 - oh dear

grannyticktock, I was going to use the phrase " granny" which my son uses for any item of clothing which is frumpy. I destisted for fear of attack............*peeks at offer mentioned by maryeliza*

Yes, Lily65, I'm not ashamed to be a granny, and sometimes I have to say, "Well, maybe it seems a bit grannyish but after all, I've been a granny for 19 years!" All the same, I do welcome my daughters' views on what looks frumpy. At the same time, my daughters get a bit alarmed if I choose clothes too similar to theirs, as it makes them feel old-fashioned!

This might sound odd but has anyone tried Damart? They are no longer long johns and vests. There was a brochure of theirs with the Sunday papers and the stuff is lovely. I have had two pairs of summer trousers and they are great. I ordered a lovely top yesterday. Reasonable prices and free delivery.

A couple of people have remarked on Fatface being expensive. I tend to buy from these companies at sale time although Mantaray prices are not too bad generally.
Then again I tend to buy most of my clothes from sales.

Lily my friend buys a lot of clothes from Tillets. They tend to be loose “flowy” tops and look good on her as she is quite tall. I’m “short and stout “ so they tend to swamp me.

I like Fat Face and White Stuff - usually buy their sale knockdowns as they are a bit pricey.

I do find Mantary colours fade in the wash and the fabric and fit isn't as good as White Stuff which seems to last forever.

Mantary - and I think it’s only available at Debenhams so not safe now I should think.

I think Mantaray is an odd choice of name for a fashion outlet.

Large scary looking, flappy things! Not an image I care to emulate.

Weirdly enough, when I was about 6 , I was slightly obsessed with manta rays.

I have never heard of Mantaray but keen to have a look. I like Whitestuff , Fatface, ( but agree very overpriced ! ) Joules ( too many harbour tops, must stop buying !) and Seasalt. Have got some nice things from Mint Velvet too in their sale.

I love Mantaray and Fatface - but I must stop buying blue and white striped tops! I have bought two more in the last two weeks!
