I’ve always used moisturiser morning and night. I used to buy expensive brands, even Creme de la Mer sometimes when working then tried M&S Formula (own brand, not tested on animals, with sun protection) and have been using it for years. A fraction of the price and just as good. I also use serum now as my skin is drier and again M&S Formula is very good. I’m told I have good skin for my age. Very few lines and a few pale age spots, look like freckles as my skin is very fair. So IMO the expensive creams are no better than much cheaper ones.

If I take after my mum and aunt, I tend more toward sagging jowls than wrinkles. I don't think there is much to be done about that, other than some expensive laser treatments. I do take collagen supplements that will hope fully slow the process a bit!

I have always moisturized in the morning with a cream with SPF. I have freckles so have to be careful of the sun. At night I love Avene Gentle Toning lotion to remove make up and feel fresh. It's lovely after a hot flush as well.

I also inherited good skin but it is very dry so I have always moisturised. I used to use Clinique but, following a recommendation from a friend, I use all Nivea products and haven't noticed any difference except in my bank account!

I inherited good skin from my Mum, carefully cleansed etc when i was in my teens , then got lazy , the only thing I did for years was use wipes instead of soap and water on my face , still not big wrinkles , but fine ones are creeping in now , but I am 81 , I buy Lidls wipes and face creams now , mainly because they were on offer

I use Boots No 7 which is hypoallergenic. All the other (more expensive ) hypoallergenic ones affect my skin. I try to remember to cleanse every night and put night moisturiser on At this time of year I use the gradual tan products as well on my face and legs. My legs look so much better- smoother and veins less visible. I have been doing this for about 8 years. I think these products do actually make a difference as I have been told I have nice skin. In any case it makes me feel good.

Off piste a bit but I've been using a cream from Marksies for my neck - Praia I think it's called - it's great! Would recommend.

My face still looks about 20 years younger than my neck, but I live in hope!

Never used moisturiser or creams/potions. Back in the day when I wore makeup I used to clean using baby lotion.
I have noticed my skin is getting dry over my forehead recently, first time as I have always had greasy skin. So I have a pot of good old Nivea which I use every few days. Would never spend on those fancy creams.

I think if you are lucky enough to have had parents/grandparents who had good skin and few wrinkles you will be the same. My paternal Nan had the most beautiful skin, she never used anything other than soap and water. My Mum also had clear smooth skin.

My skin care routine is very hit and miss. I either wash my face with just warm water or use a M&S or Nivea face wash. Usually the warm water to be honest. I then may or may not put on Oil of Olay 7 signs of something or other - I am more likely to do this if it is sunny as it has sun screen in it. That's it! I am ashamed to say that as I don't wear any sort of make-up I don't do anything to my face at night (Oh the shame ) However, I am told that I don't look my age - 70. I choose to take this to mean that I look younger!

I have the plump too, which does help to some extent. My skin is not bad, compared with the rest of me, I do get compliments.

I just use Superdrug Naturally Radiant hot cloth cleanser at night, no night cream after, although they do a good one if needed. Then same cleanser in morning, followed by their combined Moisturiser/serum, then a little of their eye cream dabbed under.

I have a serum in my bag, and if it's hot and dry, I might occasionally apply a little during the day. I use it as a quick handcream if out, also.

It's very cheap compared to what many spend. I think it's more about using something on a regular basis, rather than the cost of the product. It works for me.

I've been, um, 'blessed' with oily skin - as a teenager I despaired of the spots and open pores which go with it. However, with maturity it has sort of come into its own.
I use Micellar cleansing water and sometimes Oil of Olay which is gentle. I never sunbathe but if I go out in the heat I apply a sunscreening cream.
In my mid 60s now I'm getting a bit jowly but hey, I'm alive and I don't think I look too bad, all things considered.

Recently at the airport check in desk the young woman remarked on the clarity of my skin - she added' you look amazing for your age' to the nice compliment and she asked me how I did it. I did say 'a lot of money at the Clarins counter' but also lots of fruit and veg to which she said 'ew'!
mawbroonsback I am glad your investment is paying off- I have always done the cleanse, tone nourish thing night and morning but in recent years I have spent more. I dont buy serum though just use the free samples when I get them especially if they give me face oil which is lovely mixed in with moisturiser.

I have cleansed and moisturised all my life and my skin is not too wrinkled other than the mouth sag lines, however I have dark rings under my eyes and they are baggy and look awful. I recently bought some really expensive, well I thought so, Clarins eye cream. After a few days use I thought I saw a small improvement but that was it. I am back now using Simple moisturiser and eye cream for a fraction of the price.

My mum had lovely skin and only used a flannel and soap.

My skin care regime is almost non-existant. In the summer I put Vaseline cocoa butter on my legs after shaving them, to avoid scaly skin. I then rub the surplus over my hands and face and that is it. Dove soap, and Garnier miscellar water to remove mascara and that is my lot. I have wrinkles and age spots but don't mind looking my age, there is nobody I need to impress! However, I do apply eye make-up every day for my own self esteem.

Yes, have been doing it since my 30s. My skin is quite good, but I do think that we all kid ourselves a bit! I do remember reading years ago that the best thing you can do for your skin is to keep out of the sun, I have always tried to do that and have not tried to tan for many years. My skin has always thrived on neglect. I've never had a "skin routine" Yes, I have sag lines either side of my mouth but am fortunate to not have wrinkles or furrows. I too have a layer of ''plump'
I do use moisturizer when I'm doing my make-up. Can't remember the name but it's in a pot and comes from Aldi !

A common misconception is that oily skin needs no moisturiser but as i too have oily skin it does... i swear by coconut oil i mix a portion with pure lavender essential oil and put on my face at night..hydrating and calming.. plus CHEAP!!!☺
