Is there a truly waterproof mascara out there? I sometimes get watery eye and end up with black beneath my eyes

never found any, tried loads, still get black rings under my eyes, so I now have my eyelashes tinted once a month, no black eyes now !!!

Clinique is pretty good, fairly easy to remove too.

I have watery eyes and have given up on eye makeup as a result. I might try Clinique though cornergran.

As far as I know Clinique just do one waterproof mascara, there are several non waterproof ones. I find if I let my eye cream sink in for a few minutes before putting the mascara in that helps it stay put. Good luck. I’d hate not to wear any never feel dressed without it smile.

I feel the same cornergran but was looking like a panda very often. I will go to their stand when out tomorrow. Thank you for the tip about eye cream.

I read on GN about tubing mascara (try Googling it). The one I use is L'Oreal Double Extension. It never causes panda eyes and can be worn even for swimming. However, with a 30 second soak in plain water it comes off easily. I know someone who wears it for a week at a time although probably not good for her lashes. I once forgot to remove it when attending the Eye Hospital for examination with the application of drops. It amazingly stayed put through the whole process and the watery eyes.

That’s amazing shysal maybe I will try that.

Boots No 7 do a good one - works well for me, as I have watery eyes sometimes and its not too pricey

I use Collection Lash Surge following recommendations on Mumsnet. Cheap as chips, waterproof and brilliant staying power. Available in Boots for around £3, it comes in a black tube
