Well I have officially joined the big knicker brigade. I never thought I would but needs must, and I got fed up of constantly putting my hands down my trousers to haul up my briefs blush.
Anyway I did a bit of research, and found some on Amazon with great reviews...and I'm converted ladies. These are made from a good quality cotton (quite thick) with a little lycra for comfort, also with a very deep 2 inch waistband.
They were £18.99 plus postage for a 4 pack. I love them, so just wanted to share with you ?. Now everyone knows what underwear I will have on...oops blush

Hot date tonight Yorkshiregirl? wink

EllanVannin Sun 14-Jul-19 08:36:46

You can't beat the " harvest festival " knickers !

Grannycool52 Sun 14-Jul-19 08:53:23

They look comfy - I shall investigate!

Yorkshiregirl Sun 14-Jul-19 09:00:06

Ha ha no Riverwalk ?

Yorkshiregirl Sun 14-Jul-19 09:06:48

They actually look quite nice on. No waistband digging in...bliss

GabriellaG54 Sun 14-Jul-19 13:04:22

Foreign make? Are you in UK?

lemongrove Sun 14-Jul-19 13:19:54

Am all for comfort ( although my undies have to have some lace on) but the grey colour is off putting....do they do other colours?

LullyDully Sun 14-Jul-19 17:30:21

They remind me of the knickers we wore at school. They were a delightful shade of bottle green with a pocket and a sensible gusset.

Lilypops Sun 14-Jul-19 17:34:11

Lully, you can't beat a sensible gusset !! Why we had pockets in our knickers I don't know, it's not as if we would be hoisting our school skirts up if we needed to blow our noses !!

LullyDully Sun 14-Jul-19 17:58:32

Remind me of our school knickers. Bottle green with a pocket and a sensible gusset.

MissAdventure Sun 14-Jul-19 19:00:21

I'm intrigued by the pocket.
Did you actually keep anything in there?
Was there a specific item it was made for?

Yorkshiregirl Sun 14-Jul-19 19:55:59

They are black lemongrove, and the picture doesn't really do them justice. They do other colours yes.

Whitewavemark2 Sun 14-Jul-19 20:10:17

Handkerchief.

Septimia Sun 14-Jul-19 20:13:33

I wore navy blue school knickers, with a pocket. I gave up keeping hankies in the pocket because I kept losing them in the loo.....

MissAdventure Sun 14-Jul-19 20:16:01

Ah, thank you.
Most knickers now are not much bigger than a hanky!

LullyDully Sun 14-Jul-19 20:16:42

You needed a pocket in your knickers so you could blow your nose when playing ( avoiding ) hockey with a green cotton grecian dress on top.

RosieLeah Sun 14-Jul-19 20:29:40

I like the boxer short type. You don't get a VPL with them.

NotAGran55 Sun 14-Jul-19 20:35:31

I wore bottle green knickers with a pocket too Lully ! We might know each other smile

M0nica Sun 14-Jul-19 20:35:36

Sorry, I think they are horrible. I wouldn't be seen dead or alive in them.

I wear matching (pretty) bra and briefs, like a bikini. I have never found either uncomfortable, nor do I find the briefs slip. Put them on in the morning, take them off at night and more or less forget about them after that.

sharon103 Sun 14-Jul-19 20:38:14

I have to have the higher waist ones these days. I stocked up on very similar ones to these from Morrisons although the waist band is only about an inch. No seams and lovely and comfy. I can't remember now if they were £2 or £3 a pair.

Auntieflo Sun 14-Jul-19 22:15:40

Lully, I think we went to the same school. I remember mum buying my bottle green knickers from the outfitters in Hounslow. Was it Abernethies? Think that was the name. She asked for the largest size, to see me through from 11 to 15, when I left. Horrid things.

Gonegirl Sun 14-Jul-19 22:22:13

prefer these myself

Fit fine under my tummy.

I like my drawers to be a bit pretty!

MissAdventure Sun 14-Jul-19 22:24:59

They're skimpy! shock

Gonegirl Sun 14-Jul-19 22:27:16

They cover up the important bits, back and front. (well, back almost) grin

Less washing too. Not so much material.
