my son is getting married soon. Would you wear a clip in fascinator? the MOB may be wearing a larger fascinator but I feel better with something smaller as I have a small face and I am also short
It was from Quiz, I also think it will stay in better as I am having a hairdresser on the day to fix it in with an updo maybe
thoughts?

Wear what you feel happy in. The day will be so happy that your headgear will be one totally insignificant.

Have a lovely day?

Become!

annie56 Sun 18-Aug-19 16:27:14

obv I am much older than this model lol

It looks fabulous, but the main thing is that you feel comfortable in what you are wearing.

Enjoy your sons wedding (we have married off 4 sons do not think daughter will ever marry, she is happy living “over the brush”)

annie that looks delightful.

I wore hats for 2 DC weddings and a fascinator for the 3rd. I like me best in the photos with the fascinator. the hats were too big unless you get an elegant small hat.
It made the outfit a little less formal looking and was easy to wear. I bought mine from an independent hat maker so no one was wearing the same!.

That's very nice and all you have to do is look confident in it and enjoy yourself!

TwiceAsNice Sun 18-Aug-19 17:06:37

It’s lovely! Wear whatever you like and thinks suits you. I did wear a flamboyant hat to my daughters wedding but wore a small fascinator to my godsons wedding this year and felt just as nice

I dont wear hats, so no advice, but I hope you have a nice day and wish the young couple all the best ????????

annie56 Sun 18-Aug-19 17:09:59

yes I agree with all comments thank you
I just wondered whether it was young looking or not MOG enough - I do worry lol

B9exchange Sun 18-Aug-19 17:11:41

I have worn hats to DCs weddings, but with a small sized head they are almost impossible to find one to fit. Fascinators are very attractive, and you don't have to worry about when to take them off. I am short too, and any brimmed hat risks making me look like a mushroom.

Your fascinator looks lovely, enjoy it!

annie56 Sun 18-Aug-19 17:13:50

I found trying hairband fascinators they slid off, this clip may stay put better ?

Lisagran Sun 18-Aug-19 17:42:11

Wedding hairdressers are usually pretty adept at securing fascinators. Looks lovely! Have you sorted your outfit? Enjoy yourself

annie56 Sun 18-Aug-19 17:45:11

yes after starting with lilac then my jacket got some pulls and couldnt source another one, I went for pink with pink black and white dress, nude patent shoes and matching bag
MOB is wearing cerise and black

annie56 Sun 18-Aug-19 17:46:02

I would love to look like the model with the hair but mine is thin and collar length sad

Hetty58 Sun 18-Aug-19 17:46:11

Annie, your hairdresser will know how to make it stay put. Everything slides out of my hair (including curls) unless I use texturising spray, (curl) then hairspray and the occasional small rubber band to set it all firmly in place!

annie56 Sun 18-Aug-19 17:48:32

yes I think it will be a titanic task lol but the fascinator suits updo and I will prefer it to down. I know wedding hairdressers will do the job, I am also having makeup done at same time on wedding morning

Lisagran Sun 18-Aug-19 20:02:44

Sounds as if you’ll look very glam! smile

Having a small round face, I always wore a fascinator to any wedding that I was invited. My DD went to Scotland to get married, just the two of them, no guests. My DS and his partner live together, and I are no signs of them ever getting married. If they do, I dont think it will be a big do.

GrannyLiv Sun 18-Aug-19 20:42:29

I think it looks lovely.

I wore a headband fascinator to the last wedding I attended and felt very comfortable. It stayed in all night too, despite some energetic dancing!

Enjoy the day and have a blast smile
