I can highly recommend the 'New in' tencel shirts £29.50. I bought one in pale pink.
Not worn yet but fits fine, is soft and a lovely colour.
Also the ochre and black dress which was £49.50.
A young woman passed by when I was holding it up against myself to see if it suited, asked where the rack was and rushed off to get one.

EDIT: GNHQ here. Here's the link to the dress pictured to save you searching. smile

So frustrated with M&S again. Popped in to replace Body Sensor vest (bleached the sleeve, cleaning the sink!) walked round and round couldn’t find any vests at all. No staff around so in desperation asked lady at fitting room where they where? Somewhere near the tills......spent another ten minutes hunting and finally gave up. Went to tills to pay for a couple of small items, long queues hardly any staff. Put stuff back and went home to order online.

Do you think they are trying to drive us all online so they don’t have to pay staff, rents and rates? So frustrating!

I will still be wearing leggings/tunic this winter. Why not?

You'd have to ask those ladies who wear push up and padded bras, why they want to enhance their embonpoint.
As I don't need to enhance anything, I can't give you an answer.
My best guess is that their bosoms are not as perky or as full as they'd like.

Nice to see that tencel is more eco friendly than a lot of fabrics. It used to be that if I saw a style I liked, they didn't have the colour or size or vice versa. Nowadays, I am trying hard to take into account how eco-friendly things are and that makes clothes buying more effort than I like!
Last year M&S' range was just awful but I have to wait until their things are in the sale to afford them unless it is for a really special occasion I am buying for.

Window, not round the widow, for goodness sake.

harrigran Fri 06-Sept-19 11:05:58

I am unable to wear M&S underwear, the bras do not suit and the briefs rarely fit.
The mustard dress would not suit me as the colour tends to make my skin look jaundiced, not a fan of frills and bows either.
Liking the denim shirt, got an identical one in the wardrobe, cost me £9.99 in T K Maxx a few years ago. I have put a little bit on round the bay widow so now I wear the blouse open like a jacket.

The money off offers are generated with an M&S Sparks card.
It is simply a loyalty card and every month the offers are sent to you by email and you choose which ones to activate.
The offers are on food, flowers, homewear, furniture and all clothing make-up and beauty.
The offer is automaticslly recognised as an active offer and deducted before you pay.
You can get one from any store.

Don’t you think too that the tunic worn worn over leggings look is now rather dubious?

Backs slowly away from the thread, wearing a tunic over leggings..........grin

Jaxie Fri 06-Sept-19 10:29:57

I can't understand why clothes are produced in what I call dirty baby's nappy colour, since you have to be a sultry Mediterranean olive- skinned type to look good in them. SeaSalt are quite stylish but their summer dresses are too short in the length and waist for me. Don't you think too that the tunic worn over leggings look is now rather dubious? Perhaps too associated with overweight women trying to disguise it. If you've been overweight in the past & slimmed down, like me, you don't want your upper arms on show but you don't want fussy floaty short sleeves either. Cos do interesting stuff, but it really is oversized, and you have to be very thin indeed to wear it or you look like an aged pregnant woman. And what's with these " Little House on the Prairie" dresses? I would look like a set of curtains wearing them. Why all the frilled hems? Don't get me started on that catalogue (P H, I'm not advertising) of German clothing. Fussy over- designed frump gear BUT if you have wide feet your hooves will find plenty of nice shoes there, but at a price.

I'm fed up with the variations on beige/nude/Old Lady's Knicker colours and patterns in M&S. Wish they had a wider colour range in basic stuff.

nipsmum Fri 06-Sept-19 10:19:49

I would need to grow 8 inches to wear their dresses. These ochre and mustard colours are no use to me. I need brighter (and as my mum used to call them) decided colours are what suits me, M&S don't do colours like that anymore

gillybob Fri 06-Sept-19 10:10:14

Oh dear I have seen a dress and a coat I love too...... where might I get a 20% money off voucher ?

I must not order dress and coat on credit card
I must not order dress and coat on credit card
I must not order dress and coat on credit card.......

Rowantree Fri 06-Sept-19 10:07:49

I get all my basics in M&S - bras, pants, socks and nightwear. That said, I'm finding it difficult to find bras there which fit me comfortably so I might have to think again.
Love ochre and I love autumnal colours <3

Rowantree Fri 06-Sept-19 10:05:05

Loving that M&S denim shirt Gillybob (I think it was!). I used to wear denim and navy as my standard uniform but these days, though I still love denim, I'm more into colour.
Don't like fussy dresses - partly because I don't do frills and bows and prefer a simple/casual style, but also because you need to wear 'prettier' shoes with a dress and I never wear heels or pointy shoes.
Love Seasalt, despite the cost - go for offers and sales where I can and am trying to rein myself in because I love their colours.

M0nica Fri 06-Sept-19 10:00:29

So why mention it?

GabriellaG54 Fri 06-Sept-19 09:14:10

I've no idea M0nica no idea at all...?

M0nica Fri 06-Sept-19 08:57:09

Sorry, Gabriella still confused, why would anyone want to enhance their embonpoint

GabriellaG54 Fri 06-Sept-19 08:52:22

Dress was 20% off plus 2 vouchers for £3 plus 5 x points and another for 200 points so I did pretty well. Ordered the aviator jacket in black with faux ginger coloured shearling which will arrive tomorrow.
That's my lot...until the next time...???

GabriellaG54 Fri 06-Sept-19 08:46:54

I don't need help to enhance my embonpoint. Anything (or anyone) that/who doesn't need assistance or artifice is, IMV, lucky.

gillybob Fri 06-Sept-19 08:35:12

Oh I wonder did you see the cream corduroy shirt while you were mooching in M&S Midgey? I have looked at it on line and feel very tempted for next month maybe? Similar style to the denim one and could be worn open or fastened .

Blimey Cherrytree I don’t think I have inspired anyone, ever in my life. I am glad you liked the Ochre trainers and the denim shirt . I was thinking of wearing mine with some beige jeans I have and open over some pale green 3/4 length cut offs. I think it might go with a casual skirt too. Will have fun trying them on when they arrive later today.

My bras are slightly padded. Not the great big chicken fillet pads mind you, just enough to give a little bit of lift and shape. I like M&S bras as they tend to fit and they are not too expensive.

kittylester Fri 06-Sept-19 08:34:35

I love the trend for trainers despite never normally wearing them and I now have 3 pairs.

I bought some elastic shoe laces from the long river company for them and they look great - well, I think so!

BlueSapphire Fri 06-Sept-19 08:27:34

Do not like the dress at all, would look very frumpy on me. And I never wear trainers!

wildswan16 Fri 06-Sept-19 08:21:01

I'm lucky. I don't need padded or push up bras.

I'm a 34B and have never needed a padded or push up bra. Can't work out if that makes me lucky or unlucky, but I'm perfectly happy.

M0nica Fri 06-Sept-19 08:09:18

I'm lucky. I don't need padded or push up bras.

Care to explain? What is lucky, or unlucky about wearing padded or push-up bras?

Loislovesstewie Fri 06-Sept-19 07:36:56

GagaJo, I always find it amusing to be told that there is ' no call ' for something after all I am calling for it! Presumably I don't count?!
