I'm looking at Kit and Kaboodle and I like the look but they are rather voluminous and I am short. Any suggestions please?

I just rushed to check them out. I see what you mean. There's oversized and oversized!!
Have you looked at Sahara? Even John Lewis is worth checking

Thank you Jane, there is a sort of cheaper version of Sahara but I can't recall the name. John Lewis, very nice but out of my price bracket sadly!

John Lewis has a sort of 'personal shopper' programme on its website. You enter stuff about your height, size etc and what the clothes are for and the site comes up with suggestions. It's interesting to see outfits you might not have thought of. No need to purchase at all.

White Stuff, Joules and Boden are my favourites.

I like Sahara, although you probably want to go down a size, Oska is good, and I buy odd bits from Hush. Independent shops are good, and often cheaper.

Oh Sara, I looked at Oska and am hooked, but a little too expensive for me.
I shall have to stick to White Stuff, Joules and Boden, like Teetime.

Marydoll

I know, I just treat myself occasionally!

I looked at Oska but found the colours and shapes last season to be most peculiar and very unflattering. Definitely not for me.
Mint Velvet is nice...

It's difficult to recommend a brand because of the difference in price. But I can recommend sticking to the same brand because you can link from season to season if they run the colours over. Find the brand that fits you and hope they do not let you down.

Actually, I have just sent something back to Sahara, I usually find it over size, but this top was too clingy, so beware of their Aino range, unless of course you’re lovely and slim.

Marydoll Wed 19-Feb-20 11:18:52

I ended up buying from Kit and Kaboodle in their sale, as I like Made in Italy items, which I usually buy when I'm in Italy.
The bonus was that they were cheaper than I would pay in Italy. smile

I had a problem with my payment and got the loveliest lady in customer services.

Marydoll Wed 19-Feb-20 11:38:58

It has now been dispatched, half an hour after I ordered. That's service for you! smile

Masai has some nice things sometimes

cangran Wed 19-Feb-20 12:04:14

I have a bit of an obsession with Seasalt clothes (and some come in petite).

Susie42 Wed 19-Feb-20 12:20:44

Lands End are good for casual clothes, the quality is good, and their customer service is excellent.

lavenderzen Wed 19-Feb-20 12:57:02

I've been looking for an lightweight khaki jacket for some time, just looked on Lands End and found exactly what I wanted. Thank you Susie.

Another vote for Mint Velvet especially their sale.

clementine Wed 19-Feb-20 22:42:17

Joules are good as are White Stuff and Boden, especially in the sale. I occasionally buy from Hush ( again in the sale) and Mint Velvet

MawB Wed 19-Feb-20 23:08:42

Joules,, White Stuff, and Seasalt are my favourites, although Woolovers came up trumps this winter with some lovely styling.
(Sahara in their sale- their regular prices just too eye watering).
