@dustyangel - start a new thread specifically for your area. You never know, you might be lucky!

I wish that there were enough GN members in the Algarve for me to ask for recommendations here. sad

Lemongrove and Oopsadaisy4 thank you so much for taking the trouble to help! I’m going to have a google and book my next appointment. Much appreciated x

La Belle Est Vie in Grove ( near Wantage) not too far from you, I have a friend who always looks very stylish, it isn’t too expensive and you can park right outside.

PS might be an idea to take your picture and ask them if they feel that they can do the style, maybe it wasn’t suitable for your hair? Anyway I’m sure Kim will be keen to have a chat .

Tangerine, Kim is very good.

I have recently moved near Abingdon and I’m desperate for a good hairdresser as I have very difficult coarse tightly curled hair.,
Recently had it cut after lockdown - I had a picture to show, asking for a tousled/undercut/asymmetric look, and after suffering it for so long I was hoping to walk out with a chic and stylish cut.,
However I got the usual “ granny perm helmet” given as routine to women my age (61). I was upset and won’t be going back.
Can anyone suggest anywhere I could try - a hairdresser with a bit of panache and skill please?
