Bought myself one today on the advice of my daughter! I absolutely love it and it will go with so many things.
Makes me feel young and trendy again!
I’m 66 and a size 14!
Anyone else got one?

Tried to do a leopard joke there, not sure if it worked tho.

MissAdventure

I've just seen a leopard print denim jacket on ebay smile
Talk about mutton dressed as lamb.
Of course, I was disgusted, and scrolled straight past.

No you didn’t you bought it on the spot!😂

No-one is ever too old to wear a denim jacket. Or jeans.
They are ageless and wonderful.

When I get mine I shall 'wear it in' by doing the Status Quo dance grin

Don't realise there was an age limit, I'm 71 DH is 73 and we both wear denim jackets all the time

I had an old Levi one that I used to wear all the time. It was looking rather ratty because I wore it so much. I ended up donating it. I’ve since bought another one but it’s nowhere near as good as the old Levi one. I’m 68.

Definitely I love mine too and a biker jacket so versatile dress up dress down. I am 72 in March size 8

I really like mine, and on its first outing got some compliments on the ‘look’ which is something I am not used to.
Denim has never been out of fashion, always a winner.

Denim jackets definitely ….
Whatever age ladies, well look gorgeous!!

Years ago, one of my daughters gave me hers. I live it and wear it a lot. I also do double denim on occasions. After all, it just looks like a trouser suit.....I also have a bright orange River Island Faux suede biker jacker and a cropped brown leather jacket. Oh - and a leopard printblazer. (So - shoot ne, why don't you!). My daughters still go out with me and I've had other women compliment me. I'm 72....

MissAdventure Fri 23-Feb-24 18:32:09

I've just seen a couple I like on ebay.
Strange, but I had forgotten all about denim jackets!

Terri Fri 23-Feb-24 18:26:55

Rusume Fri 23-Feb-24 18:06:38

I love all of mine. I’ve got them in mid denim, black denim, cream and white and I’m 69 next week 😁

Juicylucy Fri 23-Feb-24 17:52:46

Yes I love mine. I’m 67 and wear it with maxi dress trainers or white wide leg trousers very versatile.

Chrisks Fri 23-Feb-24 17:25:55

This is making me smile!
I put this message on in 2020 and it’s reappeared today!
I’ll be 70 this year and the denim jacket has had many outings!
Really don’t fancy hitting 70!

Jac53 Fri 23-Feb-24 17:17:42

I'm 70 and wear one.

DonnaB5959 Fri 23-Feb-24 17:08:01

Double denim is known as the “Canadian Tuxedo”!

HelterSkelter1 Fri 23-Feb-24 16:31:55

This thread has cheered me up no end!!! I wasnt going to buy any new clothes this year as I have Far Too Many.

But for a denim jacket I will make an exception

Saggi Fri 23-Feb-24 16:22:08

I’m 73 ….and size 14 ….and just bought one .

Milest0ne Fri 23-Feb-24 16:21:26

I have a lovely one which is printed with a pattern and has appliqué and embroidery accenting the printed design. I bought it in US along with several other jackets. Several of them look good with Jeans. They do have good jackets over there.

Maremia Fri 23-Feb-24 15:11:27

Love mine. They look great with long summer dresses. Still have one my sister gave me in the 80's.

Daffydilly Fri 23-Feb-24 15:06:29

I'm 60 this year and love my denim jackets. I have to say I'd never even considered I could be too old for one. That's definitely food for thought.

As for double denim, I guess it all depends on how important being 'in fashion' is to a person. Surely if it looks good and you're OK then that's fine?

Bazza Fri 23-Feb-24 14:38:32

I can’t imagine what else I would wear over a summer dress. Never been a cardigan person. I’m 78. What has age got to do with it?
