Anyone tried Viviscal for fine hair?

I have been using regaine for 2 months and already seen a difference in parting and 2 small bald spots, so very pleased
Had no side effects,apparently from what i have read,they only say not over 65 as not been tested on over 65s ,i am and had no bad reactions

sparklefizz i have been taking biotin 10000 strength, my normal hair grows very quickly, but done nothing for bare patches
I think i have tried almost everything for hair regrowth, but nothing worked
I know vit Dis supposed to help,and zinc. and ferritin shouldn't be below 80, bit know mine isn't,
Even had a scalp biopsy, with a dermatologist who says it is stress related and swore it would have grown back by end of summer but it hasn't
I am over 60,but still trying Regaine, no bad effects so far,and spoke to someone else who uses it and worked well for her,so worth trying

Used for two years. Sad to say did not help in any way.

I take Boots Hair Skin & Nails supplement which I think contains Biotin.
I use Nioxin products which I think have improved my hair. It isn’t an instant effect - they work by reducing the rate at which hairs are lost.

I’ve used Viviscal on and off for years. I used to go regularly to a hairdresser in London who specialises in extensions for people with fine, thin hair and he was convinced it improved the condition of mine. For the last couple of years I’ve used the much cheaper Perfectil supplements instead, but have now gone back to Viviscal as there was a very good offer on at H & B recently.

I’m not altogether convinced that either makes a great difference to be honest, but then again who knows how bad my hair would be without them!?

My nails have always been very strong with or without any supplements, so perhaps with me it’s just hereditary. My dad was bald in his mid-twenties.

My hair is very fine but I used to fair amount of it until I had to take Tamoxifen for breast cancer which pushed me into the menopause, then my thyroid became underactive. I also have multiple food allergies and intolerances.

My hair thinned drastically and was receding and my fringe became very sparse.

I did a lot of research, and what helped me was taking a high strength Biotin supplement (10,000 strength by Nu, available on Amazon) plus L-Glutamine tablets or powder, plus Collagen powder (Natures Cure Collagen from Amazon).

These worked for me and have also given me fast-growing fingernails, and my hair has almost returned to what it was before, but it took about 18 months - 2 years.

Thanks blondenana. I tried Regaine but wasn't keen to continue as it's not recommended for over 60's. I may try a biotin supplement next then.

Both myself and dsaughter tried them, very expensive and didn't work, but i found Biotin good for groewing hair,but not for thickening it, but it does work for some
Mine is so bad now i am trying Regaine [Minoxidil] it depends maybe on how thin your hair is,if not too bad might work, but you need to take them i think for at least 6 months[ the viviscal]
