Does anyone use a foot spa at home?

Yes. It's in the cupboard along with the Breville sandwich maker, face spa, slow cooker, steamer etc al.

Do think about how easily you will be able to carry it full of water. It is quite a weight.

I found that moving it AFTER using it was a problem

You have to remember that it is now directly in front of you on the towel.
You'll be sat with your wet feet either side of it - with no space to manoeuvre, without sloshing water all over the place.
If you attempt to slide it to one side - using your foot - you'll only succeed in soaking everywhere. I always had to 'holler' for my OH to come and take it away.

I just found it was no better than using a bowl of water - waste of money.

Never used one; a friend has one and says it is better than an orgasm.

I have size 9 EEE feet which won't fit in a washing up bowl. My daughters bought me mine when I joined Royal Mail as a postie back in the 1980s because they thought I would need it after all that walking! It has been in weekly use ever since, although I retired in 2008.

As I got older, I stopped worrying about emptying it immediately. I vacated my foot spa position to another chair, dried and pampered my feet, and then used an old tin cup to bail out half the water into the washing up bowl, making the foot spa easier to carry to the kitchen to empty the rest of the water.

I wouldn't be without it.

Mine is a Visio Foot Spa. I keep it in the bathroom, but use it in the living room. Bring Jugs of hot/warm water, buy Foot Soak of various kinds. The Spa massages (vibrates), can create bubbles, and provide heat. There are rollers in the base to help with massage too! Yes, it takes a bit of organising, in terms of bringing a towel, water, and organising a suitable chair - but is SO worth it! A Company called Expert Verdict offer separate "boots", i.e. one for each foot which are not electrical, but obviously can be part filled with warm water and an appropriate "soaking" additive. probably easier to fill/carry/empty, but would also cool in a short period. Just a thought!

Well, very encouraging comments from so many. Be careful up that ladder Greyduster when you get it down! Can’t wait to use it eazybee - it arrives on Saturday. (And I’ll be cooking a chicken casserole in the slow cooker on Sunday Phloembundle. I’ll let you know if it’s a hit or a miss.

Definitely a gap in the market for a spa with wheels and a push down handle.

Lots of theses on fb selling sites for not a lot of money. I have one and don't use it i mainly just grab a old bowl.

Won mine in a raffle. Don't use it often, but it is nice when I do

I had one, and really enjoyed using it, occasionally. The problem is filling and emptying it as it gets really heavy when full of water, and it tends to 'slurp' over when carried.

Mine was one of the ones you probably see in the charity shops now!

Yes, a champneys one, but at the minute it’s sitting at the back of the cupboard

I had one but was too lazy to get it out, fill it etc,I gave it away in the end.

I had one as a present about 15 years ago but never got on with it. I just can't see the point of sitting with your feet in water, though I know some people do.

I've got one and it's never been used. Too much faff really.

My charity shop gets these but they don't often sell.

I use one occasionally but really want to try a leg muscle exerciser but they are very expensive (more than £200 I believe)

I was given one that sprung a leak! Now deal with my annoying hard skin foot problem by soaking in hot water and Epsom salts in a bowl for 10 minutes. Attack feet with a ped egg. Lots of moisturiser and socks afterwards. It’s not something I want anyone to witness me doing! But it’s cheap, effective and my feet say thank you afterwards!

I purchased a large washing up bowl ...put a towel under it ..full it with Luke warm water from previously boiled kettle..then top up with hot if needed .Add some Radox or Badedas & settle down to watch something on telly.Cheap as chips .

I can recommend a hot tub with salt water, I bought it a year ago for my birthday. Because, why not.

I love mine. No idea of the make but it used to belong to mil so it's getting on a bit. I fill up to required level with warm water, add some nice oil, a minute amount of bath bubbles and occasionally throw in Epsom salts or equivalent. I put mine on a large towel in front of a comfy chair making sure it can reach a plug socket. I always have to hand moisturising cream, toenail clippers also a good book. It's got different settings and I usually try most of them. I can sit there quite happily reading until water eventually cools. My feet are happier for it and would replace in an instant if it ever broke down.

I love my foot spa, bought years ago and forget the make. It can have vibration, bubbling or just heat and has rollers on the bottom that you can move your feet over for massage. My feet feel wonderful when I use it (about once a month). Wouldn't be without it!
