I have been give two beautiful silk shirts. However, one has been ironed badly and has several lots of a sort of pleating on the edges, If I wash and iron again, carefully, can I iron them out. Thank you.

Are you handy with a needle?
You could turn them or ask someone who could do this.
It’s not difficult ?

Right! Iron collars on the reverse side always always! For your silk ,soak the shirt/collar with a fine water spray.leave to almost dry naturally. Press on the underside or back of the collar using steam and not too much pressure. Creases should maybe appear on the surface you're pressing. Another tip for pure Silk is to never expose to an iron directly always use a linen teatowel as a pressing cloth on both surfaces making sure it is flat and crease free itself as you would with wool fabrics etc stopping sheen lessening the damage caused by excessive direct heat.hope this helps?!
