For regular hair colouring L’Oréal recommends you use dandruff shampoo. At least the lady on their helpline told me to do that when I tried a darker shade and it looked terrible. She said buy the cheapest one and repeatedly wash it over a few days. It worked.

Ooh, I put the 3 boxes on in one day - but be careful, I wouldn't want to be responsible for something disastrous happening to your hair (mine was fine)

When the lockdowns first started, I went from a dyed jet black, to a blonde, by using Colur B4. I had to used 3 boxes of the stuff to get the black out, then I applied the colour I wanted.

I am 69 and for a lot of years tried different brown colourants to cover the grey but after trying them all find I'm terribly allergic to them all. My hairdresser tried a blue one that was great and had no effect on me at all. I kept that for the last couple of years but when it starts washing out goes a turquoise colour which I didn't like so last time she put on a purple. It washed out after a few washes and the blue started coming through again. Today I decided to use Colour B4 me from Superdrug and followed the instructions to the letter. It has got rid of alot of the blue but not completely. I've even been using Head and Shoulders as she recommended I try that to get rid of the colour. What have any of you used if anything and should I wait a while to try it again? Thanks.
