Foundation for mature skin

I use Laura Mercia tinted moisturiser and like you yammy I still moisturise underneath .

I have tried so many over the years but now use Clinique's Super Balanced makeup, not too heavy and blends really well providing you get the right shade. Ive made some expensive mistakes so always get a tester now. Clarins also do a really good medium coverage foundation.

I too have dry patches and atthe moment I much prefer tinted moisturiser or BB creams. However when I do use foundation - last one I used was Clarins Skin Illusion - I was advised that I could add a drop of serum and it works! Stops it settling on the dry bits

I'm another L'Oréal true match fan - it goes on really easily. I use rose vanilla I have/had red hair .

I use Clinique CC cream as it is very light and evens out my skin tone.

I use Aldi's La Cura BB Cream. It covers well and is nice and light (and cheap)

chantecaille is what I use and I am 70+ - yes, it is expensive but lasts ages ad you can use as little or as much as you like.

The Ordinary's serum foundation. Comes in loads of shades, very light coverage and it costs about a fiver!

I love Trinny London BFF with factor 30 sun protection in it and Trinny London De-Stress over it. The first is like a very hydrating tinted moisturiser and the second a tinted serum. Both have fabulous ingredients that actually improve your skin. Lovely!

Laura Mercier tinted moisturiser, I have used it for quite a few years now but always put a moisturiser underneath. They have changed it slightly just recently, they do it for greasy skin and normal.

I don’t wear foundation very often but when I do I use Estée Lauder double wear light.
Day to day I use No 7 tinted moisturiser

Any recommendations for a foundation for mature skin please? The menopause is giving me a few dry patches on my cheeks but otherwise I'd describe my skin as normal. I need a medium coverage which goes on easily.

Ok. Here's a tip. Use a liquid like NYX Superdrug or Revlon Candid.get your shade right then use 50/50 pea sized blob mixed with your regular day cream .it's lighter cover really well and will be smooth on dry bits.

BFF from Trinny London. It’s light, doesn’t settle into lines and gives a fantastic glow. All of her products are great.

L'Oréal true match for me. I'm 79 and it suits me well. Everyone remarks on my smooth skin and that I don't look my age.

I like Bare Minerals but my favourite is Giorgio Armani. It glides on beautifully and looks and feels good. Very easy to apply and good staying power.

Estee Lauder Double wear, I always come back to it. I love it.

I like Laura Geller balance and brighten, it goes on like a powder but covers like a cream and you can’t go far wrong with the colour

Laura Geller Balance and Brighten for me. It’s a powder foundation but doesn’t settle into lines/pores but I do use a primer first, usually a Laura Geller one. Buy from QVC because you can send it back, even after you’ve used it, if it doesn’t work for you.
