I have osteoarthritis in my joints recently had pains in feet and ankles. Dr once she saw xrays said its arthritis there too. I'm in extreme pain when I wear my usual trainers or slippers can anyone advise me of website where I can get comfortable shoes/trainers?

Hello, a family member likes Vionic, available from Amazon. I haven’t tried them myself.

I have tried Vionic and found them comfortable. I have found that I can no longer wear completely flat shoes such as ballet flats, which I loved. I have to go for something with a slight heel, even a low wedge works, for support - makes a big difference.

Have you seen a podiatrist Lilliesmum79?

My podiatrist has been a great help with my arthritic feet (bunions too!). Lots of exercises, advice, orthotics and also lists of suitable shoes too.

I would really recommend turmeric and black pepper to help alleviate painful hands and feet . I started taking it on the advice of my rheumatologist, and after a month, the pain had really diminished. (You’d have to check that it is safe for you to use , if you are taking other medications.)

I have arthritis in both hands and feet. I find very light weight shoes suit me, usually trainers.
My hands are really hurting at the moment making life very difficult as even peeling a potato is most painful. People have told me to give up tomatoes and fruit from that family. I had assumed it was an old wive’s tale but am beginning to wonder as I have eaten so many, my eight plants have produced a glut. Does anyone have anything to back this theory?

Gin I know exactly how you feel, I have bad hands and feet. I had one foot fused last year but it's made the pain worse and I am waiting to see a consultant about further foot surgery. My hands are soooo painful, they are permanently swollen around the CMC joint.
Lilliesmum79 where abouts is your foot pain?

I'm so fed up with being sore all the time I'm 58 but feeling today like I'm 100. Had knee replaced about 4 yrs ago but it's sore again also other one is getting worse. I say the only bit if me that doesn't hurt is my hair?

My podiatrist recommended widerfit shoes. I find them more comfortable than any others and they’re made deep enough to take orthotics comfortably.
