I’m visually impaired, right eye worse than left, and my prescription lenses are never cheap. I used to be restricted on frame choice because of this, but modern technology means thinner, lighter lenses and frames are now an option. My vision has got worse over the last few years, I’ve just had my annual eye exam. I have been wearing the same glasses for about 5 years. I was a software developer and spent most of my time looking at a screen at eye level. I’m retired now and am more likely to be looking at an iPad on my knee. So for this and other reasons I’m struggling and I need new glasses.
I’ve ordered new lenses in a thin purple titanium wire frame, they look gorgeous but they’re a terrifying price! The eye exam is on the NHS, the rest is on me. My choice, there are cheaper options but these are more comfortable and stylish.
