Last week I bought a Next blue fleece top which has been ideal in the cold weather, worn indoors as a jumper or outdoors as a jacket. I therefore decided to order the same style in another colour. I chose the rust version, which can only be described as leopard print. At the age of 76 will I look ridiculous? Honest answers please! tchsmile

Animal print is everywhere. Why shouldn't you wear it? It looks great. Enjoy!

Yours is very understated, enjoy wearing it.

My mums 95 and she would definitely wear it!

Fernbergien Tue 13-Dec-22 12:17:54

Go for it. I wish people of a certain age would wear more colour. And a bit of jewelry too.

I think a well turned out a bit daring at any time is edgy! You'll look great, accessories? All your favourite jewelry ALL of it!! Why not?! I love having full Warpaint and top outfits when I'm in mood , I reason that I'll not regret not bothering!!!

No. I love it

Well I’m the same age as you and I’ve always loved a bit of leopard print, in my book it’s just classic. My two middle aged very fashion conscious daughters would tell me if it was inappropriate in no uncertain terms. Why not, it’s just a pattern, like a check or flowers. Wear it and enjoy!

The leopard one looks great to me, I'm 75 and would definitely wear it. I'd bet money on you getting lots of compliments.

Babamaman Tue 13-Dec-22 12:31:46

It’s not that the tan one is too ‘ bet lynch’ it’s just not as nice as the blue one, which is a shame. Wear the blue one out and the other indoors!

Personally I don't like animal prints for me. But f you like it, then wear it happily.

Sawsage2 Tue 13-Dec-22 12:40:28

I like it but would wear black trousers and black sparkly jewellery, you'll look great.

Jzpap Tue 13-Dec-22 12:40:56

It’s lovely and will look great with black jeans/trousers. It’s not Bet Lynch at all and thank you for posting me in the right direction for a cosy top!

Kryptonite Tue 13-Dec-22 12:45:56

Leopard print is absolutely on trend.

nahsma Tue 13-Dec-22 12:47:36

My daughter tells me that animal print is “the new neutral”. Go for it, you'll look very cool.

Barnet Tue 13-Dec-22 12:50:52

I'm 67 and I've got a Bet Lynch style faux fur coat and snakeskin ankle boots. I don't wear them together though. wink
The blue top is still a leopard print, just with a blue background, so I'd say go for the rust one and to hell with what other people think!

Please don’t ever do that again 😱
Those pictures are seared into my brain.

I think it’s gorgeous- go for it!

Fae1 Tue 13-Dec-22 13:11:58

If you like it who cares what others think. Not my taste but we're all different.

Chocolatelovinggran Tue 13-Dec-22 13:26:48

Animal print is classic and just a little bit edgy, which is exactly right for those of us in our 70s, I'd say.

Nannapat1 Tue 13-Dec-22 13:33:24

No! Leopard skin print is for anything and anyone! I personally wear a leopard print jacket and leopard print boot shoes, sometimes both together! I'm 70 btw.

Blondie49 Tue 13-Dec-22 13:40:51

Absolutely love it for any age, go for it, your a long time deid as they say in Scotland 👏👏

parker Tue 13-Dec-22 13:48:35

I have just knitted 3 waqrm but loose jumpers, so I can layer as much other clothes as I want. I probably look like Michelin man but I am warm!

Yammy Tue 13-Dec-22 13:58:48

Go for it at least it will not be" Care home Chic" as some will remember my DH called me last year in a pink fluffy cardigan.smile

MiniMoon Tue 13-Dec-22 14:07:57

I'm a sucker for aminal prints. I'd wear it. I bet you will look good in it, it doesn't matter about your age.

shysal Tue 13-Dec-22 14:08:18

I collected the rust garment yesterday. It is quite muted and I love it! I prefer the blue but in this cold weather they will be alternated. I have some needlecord magic pants in navy and also in black so that is me sorted! My Skechers boots are black suede lace-ups but the laces are too short so I have ordered some longer ones encrusted with rhinestones for a bit of bling! I think Bet would approve!
