Glad you like it henetha!
Should the Judge in the teenagers rape case be struck off ?
Have used many face creams over the years. Now want to try something new or maybe go back to an old one. One that moisturises but lifts and firms, reduces wrinkles. If there is such a thing!
What do people recommend?
Glad you like it henetha!
I've bought it, V3ra . It's brill.
All I have ever used is moisteriser. Most of my life it has been Boots best, or other inexpensive brand. Since I developed skin allergies, I have moved to simple organc moisterisers.
At the risk of sounding like an advert, most people think I look very good for my age, I cannot be doing with this 'looking years younger tosh'. I am quite happy to look good for my age.
The best way to keep your skin looking good is not to bother about it, stress about it, or spend a fortune on it. Just moisterise and forget.

From personal experience, a good place to start is by checking out creams with retinol or peptides—these can help with firming and reducing wrinkles. Also, ingredients like hyaluronic acid work wonders for moisturizing.
As for lifting and firming, have you considered treatments in a Pico laser clinic www.vaestheticsclinic.com.sg/skin/picolaser ? Heard some positive buzz about it. It might complement your cream search nicely! But hey, always good to consult with a skincare pro to tailor it to your needs.

I'm in my early seventies and I receive a lot of compliments about my skin and not my awful lumpy bumpy figure ( which I battle with ) .
A lady at church called me a liar when I told her my age .
There is no magical formula .
I don't smoke , I drink a lot of fluids and put sun block on before I go outside .
In my youth , I had dark red hair and still am freckled .
I really burn in the sun .
At the moment , I'm using some cream which costs a pound for a big pot in Savers .
Otherwise , Nivea is fine .
I don't use soap -it's too drying .
I take my make up off with baby lotion or micellar water .
Very occasionally , I exfoliate with Liz Earle as it's so gentle .
In the past , I've tried expensive face creams and they are a complete waste of money .
Having written that ,
I've seen our late Queen up close about five times - her skin was amazing - so her choice of face creams worked for her .
I read of a Dermatologist recommending La Roche Posay spf products so these are my absolute go-to now.
They are all good in their Anthelios (suncare range) but I particularly stick with the Age Correct product (photo).
The texture is perfect, it’s lovely to use. Some of my brown spots have actually disappeared and others have faded markedly. I’m outdoors a lot and use it in high temperature extremes all round Europe and at home, despite extreme exposure, people comment positively on my skin.
I only ever buy it in bulk when I find a deal - around £20 (shop price £30 -ish)
I won’t change to anything else on my face.
Otherwise Asda kids range, (banana scented!) SPF 50 on my body

This made me laugh - I also receive compliments on my skin, and I say it's all down to genes, but to have my skin, you have to have my bum as well (which like yours, gets NO compliments!)
I had a friend with a willowy figure, her mum used to call her a 'clothes horse' because anything she put on looked good and she could wear it with panache. Dreadful skin, burst out in acne at the drop of a hat. When I first got to know her, she was not very sympathetic to my tendency to put on weight; but after we shared a flat, she saw that I ate (and drank) a lot less than her; and I pointed out that I did nothing special to maintain my lovely skin, just as she did nothing special to keep her figure (which she did until her death at 68)

I am doing henetha.
I decided it was easier to do what the dermatologist said and use it every day, rather than not.
Thank you V3ra for the recommendation. I shall definitely get some. Do you think we need to use that in winter as well as summer?
Nivea Soft suits my temperamental skin and I don’t have too many wrinkles.
Weleda skin food light for morning and the richer one for night.
Well priced, natural and they work, my skin looks fresh and plumped after use.
They were recommended by a beauty therapist.
I've used rose oil on my mother's very dry skin .
It is excellent .
And so is Frankincense cream from Neals Yard .
I still like Nivea cream and have used it for years .
I used a dab of rose oil from Holland & Barrat

I've used this one in the summer for years henetha.
The dermatologist I saw earlier this year made me promise to use factor 50 every day from now on, so now I'm using it all year round.
I like the fact that this one gives eight hour protection so doesn't need reapplying throughout the day.
It wasn't in stock in our local Boots recently so I ordered it online.

I've recently had a skin cancer on my face so must now only use moisturisers with SPF. Any recommends
I think all face creams are an over priced con, none of them make any difference except as a moisturiser, I think lard would do just as well though it might not smell too good. I buy anything that is reduced to about a fiver. The only thing that really erases wrinkles and sagging is a filler. Expensive yes, but at least they work so worth the spend.
Aldom
Superdrug Vitamin E moisturiser. About £2.45. Occasionally, buy one get one half price. I have used this for years. My skin is on the dry side, this moisturiser keeps dryness at bay. I'm eighty. Hardly any wrinkles. My skin is very good.
I've only recently discovered this but definitely recommend, instantly soothes that itchy dry feeling

Go to the Clarins counter in Boots or John Lewis. The advisors are very helpful, not pushy and will give you samples of the products that they think will suit your skin.
They also have good freebe offers of several products to try.
No smoking .
Lots of fluids .
No frowning .
Sunblock before you go out of the house .
A gentle exfoliator to get rid of dead skin cells - Liz Earle is great .
Any moisturiser .
I love Nivea .
I use Child’s Farm Everyday Sensitive Body Lotion with organic coconut on my face. It smells and feels lovely! I find it excellent as a moisturiser. It’s also very reasonably priced! (£4.50 for 250ml + postage)
I have very few wrinkles and nearing 70. My Mam was the same so genetic me thinks. However Simple Radiance Booster was recommended on here about 2 months ago - I bought some straight away and have had a few compliments since I started using it. It’s like a serum and no moisturiser needed.
Can I bump up this thread please and ask advice? I’ve always had good skin, thanks to genes, always used spf day cream and moisturising cream after cleanser. Recently I’ve had adult acne (I’m 63) so now I always wash with salicylic soap, then use salicylic serum and Boots Skin clear for oily skin, with SPF drops in the day. This clears up the rough spotty skin but I miss using “Grown Up” skincare. Any ideas?
