Cotton or silk under dress slip - where can I buy?

A need to purchase a cotton or silk or other breathable light weight knee length slip for under a thin unlined linen shift dress. ( I know I should have spent more and bought a lined dress!!) Its for a family wedding so I want to look smart. Nobody seems to sell such things. M+S and JL only seem to sell polyester. Does anyone know where to get a reasonably priced one?

Here's one.

I had a quick look online, but pure silk or cotton are not easily available. You might like to try Next.

I had a cotton slip once. It rode up all the time. Impossible to wear. So I can't recommend cotton under a fitted dress.
Marks and Spencer do slips (polyester I know) that are cool to wear. I have one and like it.

I have a beige M&S 'Cool Comfort' slip to wear under white dresses - never had a problem with it. Cotton could ride up depending on the material in the dress and what you wear under it.

Thanks! Good point about riding up. I may try a cool comfort one and perhaps the cotton Suzanne Charles one and have a trial run. I used to have a lovely silk slip but it got too small!

What about a silk "nightdress" (slip style)?

M & S, Bon Marche, or if you have Leading Labels nearby, all sell man made slips, never seen cotton ones.

My local drycleaner has a very handy tailor who sits in the window and I recently used him them to make 2 'sale 'dresses into one as one was too short and they added a flounce from the other. Huge success. Get some fabric and ask to line your dress?

What about this style? I bought one last month and it is great. silkser.com/collections/luxury-silk-nightgowns-for-women-mulberry-silk-soft-breathable

I would thoroughly recommend the M and S slips. I have several and wore them quite happily during the recent heatwave. The cool comfort seems to work. They wash well and last for ages. There’s a big selection of lengths as well and they have adjustable straps. Many linings are made of synthetic material anyway.
