Wonder if anyone can help. Looking for a foundation that lasts the day for work, doesn't cling in my open pores and just looks great! 😄 basically that can perform miracles! I usually use a rimmel full cover one which is ok but feel I could do better.

In the winter I use Bare Minerals complexion rescue, and inthe summer just Frezydern Sunscreen second skin 50+I think it's Italian. Aloe Vera gel is good for tightening open pores. Apply before foundation

Rather than plastering your face with foundation, this time of year I’d use say Garnier tinted moisturiser it gives a more natural sun tanned look.

Try Garnier BB or Primark products are incredible. Daughter has skin rosacea and primark works really well

Revolution. Great value and good staying power. Charlotte Tilbury is like watching The Emperor’s New Clothes- all

I use Clinique products especially their CC cream which is a tinted moisturiser. They are available in Boots.

Just been out to lunch and my cousin just told me if you go to esteelauder.co.uk you can download a voucher for a free 4ml tester for double wear foundation ( just checked and she is right). You go into a stockists choose the colour you want to try show voucher on phone and they give you the tester.
Worth it to try if your not sure and save yourself nearly £40.

Also, if you go into boots or a store that does double wear they will sit you down and test your skin to see what colour would suit you best, then they will give you a tiny bottle with a enough for three or four applications!..🤓

You can’t go wrong with M and S own brand. And they don’t test on animals either.

Clarins Skin Illusion foundation for me, I have quite open pores around my nose and this sits beautifully without clogging.

I use Estee Lauder double wear and love it as it doesn't transfer to clothing. I buy a light one and a dark one and mix them in a little pot to get the right shade, winter and summer.

JRTW2 I have found Charlotte Tilbury skin care, foundation and lipstick excellent. None of these cause me any problem with allergy and are lovely to use. I have been using these for about two years and the quality and results are excellent. I am 76 and don't use other make up as I think a good clear skin with a flattering lipstick is younger and clearer on an older face, at least my face.
The Airbrush Flawless Foundation applied lightly with a brush or sponge over a well moisturised face is the very best I have ever used. The Invisible UV Flawless Primer is very good too.

Boots offer a skin colour match and I have found them very good. My favourite light foundation is their hydra luminous range. Doesn’t cost a fortune and is very light in texture on the skin

I use Phoera. Just need a tiny amount and it lasts all day. Buy it from eBay, £6.99.

Has anyone tried one called I think Lanera.?
Advertised regularly on Face book with women looking 20 years younger in before and after photos!!.
It is always”on offer” at £25 so not cheap for something you can’t try.

Benefits Porefessional primer is excellent for blurring open pores. It's quite expensive for a small tube but works miracles. Other pore primers such as ELF are cheaper and work with your chosen foundation. Maybelline also does a reasonably priced 'baby skin' primer that also blurred bores which you also use with your chosen foundation.
I also often use Nivea tinted day cream in lieu of foundation when I'm in an economy drive. Comes in 3 shades only but is sheer. A bargain at around £2.99 and has factor 15 SPF.

** meant to write blurs pores not blurs bores. Although I'd buy the latter product if it has been invented.😂

Good tip. Most of them will give a tester pot if you ask but is 4ml more than that 🤔

It's been appearing on my Facebook page last few days! I'm tempted and reviews seem good but would prefer an independent review I think

Lots to choose from but definitely use a primer to get a smooth look. Bobbi Brown have a fantastic new one which smells lovely and really works.

BigBertha1 Mon 14-Aug-23 10:25:50

Its called Vitamin Enriched Face Base.
