Hi,
I am MOB in June and I'm struggling to find decent shoes or sandals that will be comfortable all day, are a wide fit, are elegant.
Not too high, not a thin heel as I would wobble all over.

Please can anyone suggest somewhere to look?

Thank you

Last summer I ordered wide fitting shoes from Rainbow Club, dyed to the colour of my choice, to match my dress.

Skechers have some lovely sandals. I have a pair of white strappy wedges that I can walk for miles in!

I have wide feet, size 7, and can't really take a heel but find some of the Ruby Shoo range to be lovely looking and comfortable. Enjoy the wedding x

Well, that took some time - I've now deduced that you are mother of the bride!!
DB Wider fit Shoes are very comfortable, if maybe not very fashionable, and Fit Flop are brilliant - but expensive!!

ENjoy the day!

Gabor do a range of wide fitting shoes and sandals called Gabor Comfort. Some of their styles are smart. They sometimes have them in John Lewis but many good shoe shops stock them. I buy them on Amazon

Hi I have bought Anna Field wide fit sandals on Zalando - pretty for weddings, I bought block heels and very comfortable.

I have also bought Gabor wide fit and Van Dal wide fit evening sandals although styles I bought are not stocked.

Anna Field have the best choice atm. I am Mother of the Groom in August and will be looking at Anna Field.

Best of luck and enjoy the day with happy feet!

I've sworn by Hotter for many years and they have never let me down. I also love Gabor shoes, available from John Lewis and many independent shoe shops. I've always found that they fit my wide feet perfectly and they come in a wide variety of styles.

Someone suggested Joseph Siebel - you can even buy them in Australia, and they are wonderful, comfortable shoes & sandals - last a lifetime too. But only flat sandals I think.
Do You have Django & Juliet over there? They're great - elegant, beautiful, quirky, but well fitted, well made and comfortable.

My go to is Marks and Spencer, mainly because they are about the only ones who offer shoes in half sizes as well as in wide fit

Another one here for Hogl shoes and sandals, they are without a doubt the most comfy shoes I've ever had and they come in wide sizes too, enough to fit around my ever increasing bunions.

If you are near Barrowford you could also try Boundary Mill for pavers, clarks and other wide fitting styles. Sale imminent.

I have always found Hotter really stylish and comfortable.

Try Teva. They make different models to suit everyone - shoes and sandals. I suppose more at the casual end of the market
but they are so comfortable and supportive. with Velcro adjustable straps. I wear them all day once it gets warmer and they hardly show any signs of wear. Ebay is a good starting point to look fir value.

when I was MOB I bought a nice pair of Gabor wide fit shoes for the ceremony and photos and then bought a pair of ballet pumps in Hotter to change into for the evening. if you wish to splash out I have heard Sole Bliss is very good- the queen wears them! I have read

I have wide feet and spent ages finding the right shoe for my daughters wedding.
I had my dress designed, bespoke made by a small designer shop, I didn't want the classic MoB look.
I therefore wasn't going to scrimp on shoes but I had a real problem. Tried on loads but nothing was right.
After spending what seems like days searching on the PC I found a shop in Liverpool with a big selection, I ordered about 6 pairs.. Perfect select a pair sent rest back for a refund however this shop also had a service that dyed the shoes to a colour swatch. It was easy in the end I sent back my choice of shoes, with a colour swatch, I also purchased a handbag from them which they dyed as well.
Not cheap but perfect.. Needles to say never worn again!
Might be worth a look to see if you can find them as I have no idea what the shop was called now.
Best of luck.

I love salt water sandals so comfortable but they are all flat. Several styles with an ankle strap or just slip ons with an open back. Lovely colours but maybe not suitable if you want a heel

Norah Wed 20-Mar-24 13:29:57

Perhaps pretty ballet flats?

Padders not ladders

Twiglet I too love Ecco sandals. I have a high instep and a D-E width. You can adjust the straps. I find them very comfortable. For extra wide fitting try Cosyfeet, based in Street Somerset. Ladders and Hotters are usually ok too.

How about irregular choice?
They now do wide fitting shoes and sandals.

Crikey. They look like Pantomime Dame shoes. 🤣

JollyJilly Wed 20-Mar-24 11:45:28

I wear Hotter shoes and sandals, they are both comfortable and elegant. I have Hammer toes and need a wide fitting, they do these in wedges etc. Go on their website there are some gorgeous colours.

Redhead56 Wed 20-Mar-24 11:42:36

I second The last trading post Barrowford. I go there with my DD there is a great choice there.

MissAdventure Wed 20-Mar-24 09:41:11

Well, in my mind I am. smile
