Thank you all. I have ordered ballet slippers. Dior was out of my price range!

Esmay

Sorry Chestnut I've repeated your recommendation !

Ha ha! It's good enough for us both. You can't get a better recommendation than the late Queen! Only about £8.99 from Boots, Superdrug, Amazon and others.

The late Queen wore Essie's Ballet Slippers .Other Royals wear the nude Essie colours .
I do too .
Good enough for them and good enough for us !

I have tried nude polish but, not being clever at these things, could never get it to look sheer and even. Dior Nail Glow is very easy to use with good results but unfortunately very expensive too, for what it is- years ago I used Rimmel ‘Natural’ nail polish, which was just the same but cheap as chips. I can’t find it now.

I believe Essie Ballet Slippers was the late Queen's favourite. If you use one coat it just looks like you have beautiful healthy natural shiny nails or two for more colour.

I also use Dior Nail Glow. Gives a lovely natural finish.

Have a look at the range by Esse, beautiful nude colours. I used these throughout lockdown.

I've just bought some Mavala Riga.
I love it. In the shop was a display and putting my hand up to the colours was really helpful.

I had a look. It is pretty.

This is even nicer.

Just be careful when searching. My firewall blocked a couple of the sites selling it.

I use Dior nail glow after reading posts from other gransnetters.

I have seen beautiful natural coloured nails on brides in magazines. No doubt they are professionally manicured but I wondered if any gransnetters have achieved this with a home manicure? I just haven't got the time or inclination to spend time in a salon. I know many women enjoy this and make a regular 'thing' of having their nails done.
I'm not currently able to go to a large shopping area so would be ordering on line.
