I'm thinking of treating myself to a loungefly bag/ backpack but have never bought one before are they worth the extra money ?? and can you get much inside one ?

My backpack is gorgeous

Cabbie21 Fri 24-May-24 18:31:30

My backpack is plain black, no logos, no adverts, no kiddies’ stuff. Cost a fraction of the OP’s.

I’ve got an Animal rucksack, love it for travelling it allows me to be hands free and distributes the weight. Tge one pictured looks like a young girls rucksack.

Being a self confessed bag-o-holic I would never judge anyone’s choice of bags…

I'm getting the Bambi one, it's lovely!

Hithere Fri 24-May-24 15:46:32

Loungefly also has wallets!

There’s something sad rather than quirky seeing a grown woman with a child’s accessory.
Think of all those Japanese (?) girls/young women you see around London with Hello Kitty or Harry Potter bags etc.
I know it’s a style statement but it does seem infantile.

Love backpacks, but don't understand why anyone would want a Disney one. Mine's a lovely colour, has loads of pockets, is just the right size and didn't cost half as much as that one. But if you like it, buy it.

Oreo

To answer the OP
No!
Buy a regular backpack, much cheaper and you won’t look like a twit, for want of a stronger word.

No, The Twits were unkind people, remember the story?

Hithere Fri 24-May-24 13:23:35

Pair a good happy backpack with a comfortable pair of crocs and it is the winning combination of the year

Loungefly is perceived to be so expensive as you pay for the images, same as other brands as Coach, LV, etc

Whatever rocks your boat

At least loungefly is vegan! Guilt free!

My favourite people are the ones who please their inner child!

Buy the thing that makes you smile

Ignore the things that make you frown

Happiness is priceless

For that money (or probably a lot cheaper) you'd get a nice pre loved Kipling one on eBay/Vinted . Or a leather one.
I don't like the Disney one, sorry.

LucyAnna2 Thu 23-May-24 18:37:15

Well, they look overpriced and unattractive to me, but it’s been a good advertising ploy………

Summerlove Thu 23-May-24 18:10:22

BlueBelle

Not into having a child’s bag on my back and paying £50 for the pleasure
Why ask then summerlove ?

I don’t.

I was just encouraging OP to buy it if she likes it. With so many here mocking them she might have started to feel self conscious.

PamelaJ1 Thu 23-May-24 13:04:40

I presume they come in other patterns?
I’ve got a backpack that squashes up into its front pocket. Weighs hardly anything, cost not a lot and looks a tad more grown up than the one in the photo.

readsalot Thu 23-May-24 12:34:10

A quick look makes me think that no, you can’t get much in them and no, they are not worth the money. You could buy much better but your choice.

BlueBelle Thu 23-May-24 07:47:59

🤣🤣no problem I didn’t want to take the credit for someone else’s hard work 🤣

Joseann Thu 23-May-24 07:47:21

Noooo it was petra I meant!!
I need more coffee.

Joseann Thu 23-May-24 07:44:04

Sorry, Bluebelle, I read through quickly and connected your image with the website mentioned by another poster advertising it!

BlueBelle Thu 23-May-24 07:36:50

Sorry Joseann I haven’t given any website information

I m not making fun of Hypen just surprised

Joseann Thu 23-May-24 07:08:41

Hi Hypen, not seen your name before.
What a strange question, "Can you get much inside one?" I'm sure a site like the one provided by Bluebelle will give you all the measurements and maybe pictures of the inside. Rucksacks usually have ample pockets. Happy backpacking!
Bring out the kid in you! 🎒 grin

Gingster Thu 23-May-24 07:08:00

Why would you. Overpriced and naff

Sago Thu 23-May-24 07:02:18

I have always found it odd seeing adults wearing Disney clothing and accessories.
We have a young man in his 20’s who works for us occasionally, he has a picture of himself with Mickey Mouse on his Linked Inn profile.

Hithere Thu 23-May-24 02:28:47

"Don’t worry about other people making fun of them - the bags obviously are not for them! The older I get the less I worry about others opinions on things I like."

I agree with summerlove.

Wear and buy what makes you happy

Plenty of adults use them in the US and nobody bats an eyelash
