Which skin cream do you find best? I'm talking about for really mature skin 70 to 80 years old.!
Is it worth paying for creme de mer?

I love Aveeno gel/ cream moisture better than my other favourite Clinique moisture surge. Both sink in and don’t cause irritations like some but Aveeno chewed especially on sale in Boots when I get 2 . Both last months too . Often Eucerin factor 50 for face the one with yellow band under moisture cream in the day stops large brown sun areas on face .

Neutrogena Hydro Boost is my current favourite, another gran recommended it some time ago and I tried it and have used it ever since.

I don't like greasy creams and when I was young used Moisturer Moisturiser by Cyclax. It seemed to disappear off the market so I turned to Oil of Ulay. A few years ago I found Moisturer on Amazon and it's just the same as it was years ago. It's not expensive and moisturises without being greasy. I am 72 and quite lucky not to have any wrinkles. I think partly due to the fact I've never spent a lot of time sunbathing as I can't tan.

Yes it is worth paying for Crème de la Mer, it’s a beautiful cream, smells wonderful and a little goes a very long way. I use it as a night cream as it’s quite rich for during the day.

I use Superdrug Factor 50 face suncream all the year round; it is as good as any face cream I have tried and priced reasonably at about £4-£5.

Looking at the range of creams on this thread and the results it strikes me we have to take our individual skin types into consideration. I have a difficult skin, dry and flaky and used NO.7. over the past 35 years am now 80 and my skin looks quite good. I have changed to Orly or L'Oreal because I can buy it discounted in Tesco also get it when I do my weekly shop if necessary. We do no longer have a Boots in our area so this has been a boon. Skin is still good and reasonably wrinkle free. Quite chuffed when people don't believe I am 84. For the first time in years (since Covid) I have stopped wearing makeup.

Green People do a lovely range to suit all skin types including an anti-ageing range (although I don’t really like those claims). All their products are organic, cruelty free and not too expensive.

I have used Dermalogica Intensive Moisture Balance for my daytime moisturiser for years now (after the daily microfoliant). Although it looks expensive, the tube contains 100mls product which makes it very good value. Lasts for ages.

Aveeno is good, light and non greasy.

I've been making my own cream using equal parts coconut oil, almond oil, raw shea butter and sometimes raw cocoa butter. Make sure the butters are softened first and then blend all together in a mixer and decant into a container. In winter it hardens but is softer in summer.

I recently found that my usual skin cream (Nivea q10) just wasn’t hydrating enough anymore. I researched on Dr Google and found a relatively inexpensive one called Curel (Amazon) really suits me - it is so light but incredibly soothing on my sensitive skin, and my skin feels so much better. Always use the Water Essence before moisturising too. No idea what it is but it’s very soothing. I suppose it’s like a serum.

I find that the Superdrug vitamin E range suits my skin. Usually "buy one get one halfprice".

I alternate with a Rose oil, from Holland and Barrett, to a face cream from Lidl. Seems to work for me

I have crepey (not creepy) skin on my underarms. Any suggestions??

I've recommended Wowyou wowyou.com products before and do again. I've been using them for quite a few years now (I'm nearly 68) and find them very good. They do a great range and have recently introduced body scrub and body butter. They are also reasonably priced.

I should declare an interest as the company was started by the friend of DS and his wife!
