I need them to be comfortable round my waist, I have tried many and they are really uncomfortable.
Hope you can help

junie1 why are they uncomfortable round your waist and what type of tights do you wear and which ones have you looked at. Are they too short or long in the leg?

I have find Marks and Spencer opaque tights very comfortable.
You just need to get the size right for a good fit. There's a guide on the packaging re hips in relation to small, medium, large and extra large.

Drrr! Have found...

Snag tights are very comfortable designed for all shapes and sizes

Many colours and patterns as well as the thick opaque black ones I wear.

Long lasting and I dont think overly expensive.

I second snag tights. You order the size you need Wash well and last ages.

Thanks everyone, will look at the snag tights.

I love snag tights. They also do a sort of long legged panty which are great for the summer under a dress to stop thighs rubbing and getting sore.

Haven’t worn tights for about 40 years

I was in my 30s when I last wore tights they are never comfy on me.

Another vote for Snag. I am fairly short and built for comfort, not for speed, so most tights are not a comfortable fit. Snag do unusual sizes and have a huge choice of colours and patterns. I have 4 pairs in different colours which wear very well, never ladder and wash well although I don't tumble dry them. They are very reasonable given that I have had mine for over 3 years.

I've worn leggings rather than tights with longish frocks and tunics as well as under trousers, for decades. Much more comfy and warmer here in the far North......also Thrush free..... Just wish there were more colourful and affordable options. Gudrun Sjoden ones are too costly and too short!!

I wish they’d made snag tights years ago. I’ve got a box full of tights I’ve bought over the years ( usually for weddings as I don’t usually wear dresses) that don’t fit me.

seadragon, I have long thought tights are the invention of the devil and won't wear them. Horrible things!
Have a look at Bare Canvas of Cinderford.
Their plain leggings are a very reasonable £9.50 on Etsy and come in all the colours of the rainbow and more. They are nicely opaque and very comfortable to wear, don't snag easily and wash well (but don't use fabric conditioners or the tumble dryer).
For the first time ever, something allegedly One Size actually does fit me and I'm a very odd shape - waist too wide for my hip size plus overly long legs.
If you're a fan of patterns and tie dyes etc, they're available but more expensive.
