Catherine , Princess of Wales always looks fabulous in everything she wears , she looks so regal today attending The Trooping of the colour,
It got me thinking , how does she choose her outfits ? Can’t see her going to any shops to look for a nice “ outfit”. Or are outfits brought to her home for her to choose or have made,,

sorry, I'm translating on the spot

I think I prefer the darker shade, but if she likes more blonde at this stage of her life, that's fine.

I'm in France, where they love yto pick up on anything to do with our royals. Interestingly, the reports here are focusing more on the change of stlying, talking about the back-brushing and accentuated. They say her hair looks more undulating too, though that might mean more extensions?

I suspect she’s going gradually lighter due to grey hairs.

I think you may be correct.

I thought the highlights were fabulous.

My opinion is that she would look better a stone or two heavier. As she gets older, it’s healthier for a woman’s bones to have a bit of meat around them. That’s what I tell myself anyway. 🙉

I think the Princess of Wales always looks amazing, but to be fair, we all would if we had her money, her advisers and the example set by her mother.
That is not meant to be catty. I like her as much as I like any royal.
However, I saw her new blonde hair colour today and I think she has made a big mistake. Her beautiful dark brown hair is her trademark and being blonde spoils her.
I appreciate she would like a change. I remember feeling that way myself, but there’s no point in making yourself look less attractive. Perhaps William suggested it…..gentlemen prefer blondes etc!

The color of Princess of Wales outfit exactly matched the teal plumes worn in the bearskin caps by the Irish Guards. The Princess of Wales is the Colonel of the Irish Guards, one of the seven regiments of the Household Division that participate in the Trooping the Colour tradition, and her decision to wear aqua was a show of support.

I agree with Bukkie and Oreo - Catherine is too thin …

henetha Sat 26-Jul-25 10:44:56

I like Catherine very much and like most of her clothes.
She is just a tad too thin though, imho.

Bukkie Sat 26-Jul-25 10:39:20

I think she suits most colours and styles. I personally thought the Trooping of the Colour turquoise outfit was one of her few mistakes.

Oreo Sat 26-Jul-25 10:35:04

On colour for her clothes, just my opinion but lighter colours seem to work best for her.

Bukkie

Thank you windmill. All those on here saying she is naturally tall and slim are in denial that Catherine is dangerously THIN and not just SLIM. I think they think it makes them superior and that we are being nasty when in fact it's the opposite and we are genuinely concerned.

I agree with you too Bukkie and she became so awfully thin well before the cancer diagnosis.
She became thinner and thinner as time went on.
Yes, she is an attractive woman and looks elegant but would look a lot better and healthier if she put on a couple of stone.
It may well be stress from the Harry/Meghan debacle linked to fear of not looking slim for the cameras.

I think the royal family are extremely lucky to have her. She always looks and behaves just right, she has a lovely smile and she appears to be a very good mum. PW chose well!

Milsa Fri 25-Jul-25 20:02:33

She is very slim, probably just above the minimum to be called an eating disorder but she has 3 seemingly healthy pregnancies, so she did not lose her period due to extreme diets, as my cousin did when she was very young teen

I think she looks terrible, I'm sorry. Thin and plain and shapeless, long clothes that suit somebody 30 years older. Definitely not chic!

I have to disagree with this. Given that she is constrained by the rules of the Royals I think she looks brilliant. I know the rules have relaxed slightly since Queen Elizabeth died but they are still there. She wears colour brilliantly, just as QE did, so that she can be seen and identified easily. Most of all she has beautiful posture, a glorious smile and she looks smart and confident.

I probably sound like a huge royalist but I'm not, I can take them or leave them. But I do have a tremendous respect for the hard work she must have put in to have blended in with the minimum of fuss but still retains her old jokey, sporty character.

@letmein. Let’s see a photo of you so we can judge it too.

That was a test to see how many grammatical/spelling errors I could get in a very short post.

grin

I quite fancy the idea of being a Milliner, living in a quaint rural market town and living above the shop and having a scone and cucumber sandwich for supper

Oh you are a genius. That dies look better. I am not really an hat person. The dress is lovely.

JaneJudge Fri 18-Jul-25 12:48:42

it's actually a rubbish photo.
If you are as sad as me and are procrastinating like hell...google 'Carole Middleton's hat' and it comes up with loads of photos of her wearing hats grin

JaneJudge Fri 18-Jul-25 12:47:29

I don't know if this will work

JaneJudge Fri 18-Jul-25 12:44:07

Galaxy I've googled the hat and the thing on top is actually something behind her in the distance. It's actually quite a nice hat with appliqued and embroidered lace flowers on it.

Anniebach, I was trying to illustrate it is most probably much easier to stick to a balanced diet and stay slim like Catherine and William when you have staff doing stuff for you and you are less likely to make poor choices that will make you liable to put on weight. I poorly expressed this.

I do know people in low paid, high target driven jobs who make poor choices around food because they are exhausted but I haven't had a KFC for months...but not years as we sometimes have one as a Sunday treat when everyone is at home. I like the gravy on the chips, I cannot lie

dragonfly46 Fri 18-Jul-25 11:50:22

I used to be thin like Catherine and friends would accuse me of being anorexic. I ate more than my friends who were always on diets, although I have to say I am not a cake eater.

I found it very rude of them as I wouldn't have dreamed of saying they were fat or even pleasantly plump!

Galaxy Fri 18-Jul-25 11:48:14

I tell you something the opening of a Greggs near to my office has been a disaster for me grin
