What about young men. They all have very short hair at the back with longer sticky-up hair at the front. They all look exactly the same.

I’ve grown my thick wavy hair into a tousled bob with a soft fringe. It’s been allowed to go completely grey too and I’ve never felt more liberated!

Or me. Short and layered is the only way I even look to have hair.

Allira Mon 14-Jul-25 22:27:50

But you have to have the right hair to have a lovely bob!
I haven't.

A chin length Bob, which I have smile

It takes very little maintenance.

GS’s girlfriend has long, straight hair, two hanks of hair hanging down either side of face, then pulled back with a great expanse of forehead showing.

Does her no favours, looks wise.

I’m delighted with my curly perm, the easiest, least faffing style I have ever had!
Wash, condition and go, no hair drying or styling needed.
I wish I’d had it years ago.

My friend always asks for a Judy Dench, must say it always looks fab!

Freya5 Mon 14-Jul-25 16:50:37

Short, soft cut, easy to manage. Call it my wash and go style.

Silvergirl Mon 14-Jul-25 15:56:58

I love this style. I think it suits everyone.

yes Georgesgran, I never knew what the name was,I saw Rachel Riley on countdown, and her hair has always been lovely, but now she has this style , looks as if it needs brushed

Not them barrel curls. Older woman look like Bette Davis in ‘what ever happened to baby Jane’

Allsorts Mon 14-Jul-25 14:11:56

Ive tried every hairstyle going, now I have softly layered bob.

Georgesgran Mon 14-Jul-25 14:08:17

Do you mean beach waves pably15 like this

dogsmother Mon 14-Jul-25 14:02:46

Pixies please on older ladies, much more flattering.

Oreo Mon 14-Jul-25 14:01:16

Where are all the girls and women with curly hair?

Oreo Mon 14-Jul-25 14:00:23

If you see a group of girls in the street they all have indentikit long hair and slug eyebrows.

Oreo Mon 14-Jul-25 13:56:57

winterwhite

I assume these curly ringlets start at jaw level because impossible to get the effect higher on the head. The fashion for long hair seems to me to have been around for too long. There are many more becoming styles.

I agree with that.
Also the trend for no fringe, when often the person would look a whole lot better with the forehead covered up.

what do you think of the hairstyles that we're seeing a lot of on the telly at the moment, the hair seems to be straight from the crown then half way down it's in a sort of ringlet. I always feel like taking a brush to it .
