Jeans for older woman

Just bought a cracking pair from Lidls £9.99 men’s though. They feel super soft.

I'm 72 and practically live in jeans. I get most of my clothes from charity shops. I love that it's recycling,and going to a good cause. I've had some fab designer jeans for about £12,and a beautiful pr of Jaeger flowered summer trousers for £8,I don't think they have ever been worn.
I would never buy jeans online though as the sizes vary so much,and I can't be bothered with the returns process .

Land's End do a good range of different styles. I have bought quite a few items, including jeans, and they are good quality.

They have a detailed size chart available online but I find they come out a bit bigger than other stores. Worth a look.

I’m 70 and live in jeans over the winter months. My favourite are Next jeggings so comfy to wear

I got a good pair of straight leg black jeans from M and S for 39.99

I find Bon Marché jeans reliable where size is concerned and they have a good selection of styles, colours and leg lengths. They’re reasonably priced as well.
I’ve also bought good jeans from M&S.

Mum buys comfy pull on jeans from Damart online.You can’t tell they’re elasticated waistbands once on , and come in various leg lengths and colours.Reasonably priced.

I still see one or two older ladies wearing ripped jeans and they look awful. Thank god they have gone out of style.

I’ve found Cotton Traders to be good although atm their leg lengths are about1” longer than the norm.

I buy jeans style trousers from Damart that fit as well as any I've bought, being slightly stretchy and partly elasticated waist although I usually wait until they're on offer as I'm a skinflint!
I always have to wear a belt though as I have never found jeans/trousers that aren't too big in the waist if they're big enough for me bum!

It all depends on the shape you have become. Lots of lovely jeans out there that fit other people and they love, but it doesn't mean that they will fit you.

My personal preference is Lands End as I am narrow between crutch and waist and their dropped waist fit is a confortable fit around my (non-existent) waisst and the extra waist width with the drop-waist fit accommodates my expanded waistline. However Lands End jeans are expensive.

Just bought some flare jeans from Asda and they fit a treat and look really nice £20 ( I m 80 feel 60)

I recently bought some (high waisted, straight leg) from M&S but they now seem baggy and unflattering on. I’m thinking charity shop…

However I do really like their high waisted jeggings, I live in them in winter.

M&S for me, their long length are just right.

After lots of persuasion from Dad and DiL I have purchased several pairs of wide legged jeans (I have been for many many years a skinny jeans only lady)

I am getting used to them slowly, they do balance out one’s body shape.

Mine are from Pull and Bear and The White Company.

I buy comfy Cotton Traders pull-on jeans. They look like normal jeans but the fly is false. I find they come quite big so can go down a size. Annoyingly their other styles I have tried are smaller.

I tried a couple of pairs from Boden but they've NOT worn well around the stitching. (Nothing to do with them dragging on the ground).

I’ve just bought a pair of Sienna straight leg jeans from M&S. They are lovely and soft and have added stretch so fit perfect and are very comfortable to wear. I always go for high waisted jeans as well.

Like merlotgran I find Bon Marche jeans (and other clothes as well) to have a great fit, whatever size I happen to be. As to length, I am very short and their 25 inch length is perfect and something I have difficulty finding anywhere else. And I also find their pricing reasonable for good quality.

I love the Edinburgh Woollen Mill Country Rose pull on jeggings. (Link below, I hope!) So comfy and with an elasticated waist. But my friend who is much taller and slimmer than me said they just don’t suit her at all. Need to try them on really. Latterly, I’ve also bought flared, bootleg and cigarette jeans from M&S. Yes agree… Lands End are pretty reliable and usually have a good stock. I also live in jeans/trousers …only posssess a couple of summer dresses which I wore only twice this year. I have velvet ones for ‘posh’, and various others from denim/ cord etc or most occasions … in various sizes cos my weight varies. But Lands End have always been the most comfortable and size reliable!

Tu at Sainsbury’s is good for inexpensive jeans that hold their shape well. I never thought that I’d be wearing wide leg jeans again at 66, but I love them!!

I've bought from M & S for years. But probably 3 years now find I fibd the length is never what it's supposed to be so end up sending back and getting a longer length then taking them up. However on a friends recomnendation I ordered a petite pair of jeans from Next. Collected today, and perfect. And the denim is much nicer too. I am 5'6" so not really petite but I think everything nowadays is made for at least 5'8" females even though trousers are supposed to have specific inside length, they never do. I'm about to order a pair in black.
