Pyjamas

Asda has some 100% cotton more traditional style PJs.

The best pjs I bought, believe it or not, was Poundland, £5.99
Bottoms not too wide, not too narrow with a normal hem.
Top, short sleeves as I hate long sleeves in bed.
I have worn them to death.
I stopped buying nightshirts from & m & S as they just shrink every time they are dried.
Poundland ones are great & still the same length.
Upset that our Poundland has closed down.

Another vote for Primark- lots of styles, colours.

I’ll try Asda. It’s so frustrating not being able to just walk round town. Primary is quite a way from the car park.

I buy from Damart, the cotton ones that have a granddad-style long-sleeved vest top with a patch pocket. Very happy with them. Last winter I bought some from their Thermolactyl range which are very warm. Bit like a grey tracksuit. Coupled with their oversized teddy fleece hoodie, I rarely had to put the heating on.

I buy cyberjammies. They always have a sale on so no point in paying full price, but they are incredibly comfortable. I always buy a size larger than I am so nice and roomy and no restrictions.

Oh I’ve just seen that you are short. I am tall. I think the leg length will be and issue.

That’s one of the problems. No one seems to do short ones except Next and theirs are for short slim people. And they don’t give leg length in the measurements. Every time I find some that I like ( I prefer dark colours as I live in them most of the time) when I check in store stock they’re always out of stock. When I stocked up years ago I wore all of the dark ones but kept the light ones in a drawer. I should have lived in the ones I didn’t like as much. Credit to M&S they’ve worn incredibly well. I’m even shorter than I was; thought I was 5 foot 4 but when I measured my height and weight at the doctors the other week I was five foot 1.

I only wear tee shirts (long sleeved in the winter) on top but I bought some very nice cotton pyjama bottoms from Primark.

I do too. Plus a fleece. Looks like I’m going to have to try to get to Primark. I found some Cotton Trader ones that I thought would be ok; they were cropped leg which with me being so short might be full length but, blow me, they were polyester. Next do some wonderful whippet ones but again they’re out of stock.

Maybee I am 5’ and the primark cotton pjs are not too long on me. Alternatively if too long you can easily cut and hem them ( but you won’t need to).

I like Sainsbury’s Tu for pyjamas, they have loads of choice and styles.
The only thing is though, this is the wrong time of year to look for dark coloured pyjamas, everything is pastels and bright colours for the summer in the shops at the moment, so you’ll have more choice if you wait until August when the winter stock comes in.

Lands End jersey pyjamas are good. Again, there are many sales, so don't pay full price. I have lots of them. I get the long sleeved ones, and swap the tops for basic short sleeved t shirts in summer and M&S HeatGen ones in winter when the pyjama tops aren't warm enough.

Asda do nice cropped pyjamas, soft jersey. They would probably be almost full length on you. They have black or navy. They are really comfortable and wash well. Bottoms are £8, or two for £14. I wear them around the house.

To add, they are quite wide legged but at 5 ft 4 they don’t cause me any issues.

That’s probably why whenever I find ones that I like they’re out of stock. It doesn’t help that my iPad is painfully slow at the moment and I get to the out of such bit via lots of buffering.

I can park outside my local Asda, just can’t walk round town easily these days.

I might have a problem if I do get to Primark as they seem to sell a lot of rather nice house bric a brac stuff which is going to scupper my decluttering attempt! Mind you if I buy the pyjamas online I can limit the picture frames, vases etc. Going to look now….

Success! M&S online have got some cropped cotton pyjamas at last so I’m stocking up on them. Thank goodness that cropped trousers are now fashionable because, being short they’re perfect for me, especially as I worry about tripping in wide leg pyjama bottoms. I’m going to wash and store my favourite pyjamas.
