Empty boxes!

Why are my 'watching', 'unanswered', 'last hour' and 'last day' boxes empty? I can only access the threads via 'active'. Hope it is you and not me! sad

Yes, the Republicans thread disappeared when I was looking for it, too. Then, when I found it eventually, it wouldn't let me in, but kept defaulting to the home page. There are some Gransnet Gremlins knocking about grin

Josie sorry for delay. I don't think it's to do with the bookmarks, it's happened to whenim64 too,(see empty boxes thread). It just flicks to the home page, but not every time, just occasionally.
All my threads are bookmarked.
My browser is Mozilla Firefox.

I think the text size fluctuates depending on whether I changed it while on a thread, as opposed to when on the "Active" menu page. confused

sunshine to all techieswink

It's back now - I know it wasn't there before though. I triple-checked grin

Anagram Tue 12-Jun-12 15:48:18

I'd just like to point out that another thread has disappeared off the Active list - Republicans has gone! It's still there in the Politics list when you look at forum subjects, though!

Hmm Ella46, that sounds very strange. Just to confirm - you have bookmarks enabled. When you go onto a thread you have a bookmark on, the thread scrolls automatically to where your bookmark is, as it should.

Then it scrolls back up to the top of the page without you clicking/scrolling at all.

Is that all correct?

Does it happen every time you're on a bookmarked thread?

Could you let us know which browser you're using? We haven't been having any problems our end, so not sure why that could be happening.

Anagram Tue 12-Jun-12 11:40:56

Oh, just realised what you meant, jingl - crossed wires.....(or I am just thick! wink)

Anagram Tue 12-Jun-12 11:38:59

Well, don't advertisers pay GN for the privilege of touting their wares here?

j04 Tue 12-Jun-12 11:38:05

What?!! i mean, pardon?

Anagram Tue 12-Jun-12 11:35:59

The advertisers don't want our money? Shouldn't that be the other way round...? confused

Ella46 Tue 12-Jun-12 11:34:10

Forgot to say, I'm using a laptop.

Ella46 Tue 12-Jun-12 11:32:21

Josie sorry, I put that badly. After clicking on a thread, down to the bookmark, then it just flips back up to the page with all the choices along the line; Forums, Being a Gran etc.

j04 Tue 12-Jun-12 11:18:49

Although I can't remember how it used to be. confused as usual

j04 Tue 12-Jun-12 11:18:08

I think they've got to fill the space cos the advertisers don't want our money. hmm

j04 Tue 12-Jun-12 11:15:55

You are ignoring us! You hardly say anything these days.

Huh!

Anagram Tue 12-Jun-12 10:23:48

I only use a PC, so I haven't got problems with actually seeing/reading the posts, but the whole-page width doesn't look right. Most posts aren't so long that they need all that space!
It doesn't feel comfortable....

Annobel Tue 12-Jun-12 10:13:50

Wearing varifocals, I now have to move my head from side to side when reading these longer lines. Makes me feel seasick.

syberia Tue 12-Jun-12 10:03:36

Hi there. I am still using one of those old-fangled PCs and I am not experiencing any of the problems mentioned above!! grin

JosieGransnet (GNHQ) Tue 12-Jun-12 09:48:37

Hi Ella46 could you explain what you mean by 'slipping off the threads onto the forum page'? I'll have a word with Tech to see why the text might change from big to small and back.

Thanks for all your feedback, we'll have a think. Is everyone on this thread using tablets/phones? It would be good to hear any feedback (positive or negative) from people using computers.

CariGransnet (GNHQ) Tue 12-Jun-12 09:46:37

We are not ignoring you promise - we have been up til the wee small hours knitting emoticons for future use.

We have also taken all your comments on board and will look at the issues

shysal Tue 12-Jun-12 09:02:14

With these long lines I find myself hitting things I shouldn't when scrolling on my touch pad. I think we need at least a small margin.

Ella46 Tue 12-Jun-12 07:48:04

bump

Ella46 Mon 11-Jun-12 21:30:23

Still slipping off the threads onto the forum page.

whenim64 Mon 11-Jun-12 21:20:50

Yes, the print is too small and when you enlarge it on the iPad, you only get 1/3rd of the line - infuriating.

AlieOxon Mon 11-Jun-12 20:23:05

"The idea was that you have to scroll less"? I have to scroll sideways now when I didn't before!
Not an improvement.

Anagram Mon 11-Jun-12 19:54:35

I don't like it - we were used to the way it was!
I don't mind scrolling more, Josie! And I'm sure it wasn't happening at the end of last week....hmm
