Your query was answered though, anno. In the Active listing, clicking on poster's name does not take you to a post and never has. In the Last Hour listing clicking on the last poster's name does take you to the last post (it did when I checked this afternoon anyhow). So what's the problem?

What you state as 'normal' has never been normal as far as I'm aware. So either I've misunderstood the problem, or your computer works in a different way from mine. Sorry! Very confused!

I'm with Jess on this one - the flip function is confusing. I just want it back as it used to be [winge emoticom]

Personally I love the bookmarks no kidding! and if scrolling suits you better, so be it, just as long as people read all the posts!

Look at the top of a thread, nellie for the green bar.

Find the words 'Flip | Customise'

Press/click on Customise

It will take you to a page that has three boxes where you can choose between (1) oldest first and newest first
(2) 10, 25, 50, 100 messages per page
(3) whether you want to use book marks.

I find gransnet bookmarks a pain in the butt so I don't use them.

When I have time, I will try to work out how to do this and what happens.

I have 100 posts per page AND upsidedown.

If you choose 50 posts per page it doesn't take long to scroll down anyway - not upside down!

Yes. It feels a bit wacky going back to reading downwards once you've got used to it, IYSWIM.

Don't you have a customise button next to the flip button?

Lots. The only "preferences" I can find are on My Gransnet and nothing there of relevance. But there is sunshine in my eyes...

You only have to do it once, not for each thread.

Jess, you can go straight to last poster if you customise the thread as I described above in this thread. I always go straight to the last post and I never have to flip a thread when I'm logged in because I've 'arranged' it in advance.

Go to 'customise' at the top of a thread and take it from there.

Yes it is a pain on long threads when you cannot go straight to last poster GNHQ. The "flip" function just adds to confusion for me.
Help us please. This has been happening for several days now.

Clicking on last hour and the name of the most recent poster isn't taking me straight to that post, and hasn't for about a week. The bookmark is working again, though, so the threads I have already looked at are behaving, as long as I've bookmarked them.

Photos still not uploading on my profile, though, unless I want to replace one with just one more, rather than add a few....any progress on that, tech?
