I've been having a problem too. My job alert emails come in, but when I click on any of the listed jobs to get further details it's failing to connect, just get the whirly thing.
"Saved passwords" are in the options. mine has different ones for the Pop3 and the smpt.
Server sttings are in the "accounts" bit. does yours say normal password or encrypted password? Not sure what it will say if there is no password listed in "options"!
The Thunderbird "tools " column includes "account settings" and "options" Do either of those have anything useful?
Look in "account settings" then "server settings" then "authentication method. amoung the choices are "normal password" and "encrypted password". If you change that, does it make a difference? You can always change it back if not.
AlieOxon I'm not sure whether you have located Tools and Options yet, but if not..
Look at the very top of the page. It says Inbox.... Immediately under that is a line of words including Tools. Click on Tools and Options is at the bottom of the drop down menu. Also undet Help there is a link to Thunderbird's support page.
I've got a problem today and can't send or receive any emails via Thunderbird, which has been ok until now. It won't accept my password....I don't know what to do! Can anyone help?
