Thanks Grandmanorm I was about to buy a game for my nephew but thought I had better check first. I'm sure you are right about it being for the money - makes present buying very difficult!

yes sunseeker they are Region specific, as the one I bought in USA for DGC here it did not work and caused dismay on my part!!
The same goes for Australia.
I guess it is all for money!!!!!

Does anyone know if Wii games are Region specific? I know DVD's bought in UK will not play in Australia but is the same true of these games?
