I have deleted some photos on my iPad that I now want back. Is there anyway I can do this. I have contacted them but no one replied.

If there is an Apple Store close by I would take it there. Have found the staff in our local store both helpful and patient with our struggles, even if most look as if they should be in school grin. Even if they can't recover this time they will give invaluable advice should it happen again. Hope you get them back.

I wonder why so many messages have been removed? Can't imagine what offensive things could have been on this thread!

They are probably people advertising their services as professional photo-retrievers or wanting to sell you their wonderful software. GNHQ would delete them as spam.

I counted twelve deleted posts. Maybe this subject is like the "recovering a sofa" one - a magnet for spammers.

Have you looked in the 'recycle' file? Bit obvious I know, but if it wasn't too long ago they might still be there.

As long as your iPad does and as long as it has not updated since the photos were deleted there may be a chance but you would have to reset the iPad not for the faint hearted! If you backed up your iPad to iCloud in advance, you can restore your iPad to recover deleted photos: Tap on Setting > General > Reset> Erase All Contents and Settings > Restore from iCloud Backup > Select the backup and restore your iPad.

Could be these deleted posts are leading us up the garden path or worse still opening us to spammers looks some weird names coming up

Bobbysgirl19 Thu 20-Apr-17 09:10:34

Yes so many new posters names deleted! confused. How did they come out of the woodwork so quickly? We are being watched !! shock.

I've just reported the last five! They have probably set their browsers to automatically search for any mention of deleted photos (oops, I've just mentioned them again!) so that they can send a spam reply.

It isn't at all likely to have opened up anyone's personal email accounts to get even more spam, so don't worry, just report them each time and maybe they message will get through that theie invasive self-advertising is not welcome.

But don't click on the links and go to their poxy websites either.

Recover photos from iPad via iTunes.
1. Connect your iPad with iTunes on computer
2. Right-click or control-click on the iPad icon under iDevice on iTunes
3. Select "Restore from Backup" from the given options
4. After it finishes, your data are back to your iPad
Important Note: This works only if you have made a backup for your data on iTunes.
