Hotmail emails opened but not by me

Are you able to edit and change your username or password or both? Maybe contact hotmail or google the question.

Thanks i have tried changing my password. I have looked at google but nothing seemed to fit my problem. I will try to contact hotmail.

Have you looked in your SENT folder. Are there any sent items which you haven't sent?

How would that affect emails i get sent, sometimes from sources i have never emailed ?

If you hotmail account has been hacked the hacker often sends emails from the hacked account to others in your address book sometimes attaching a virus within a link. If this has happened you will see activity within your sent folder which you have not generated.

No, all now in sent are from me. But i do recall a few weeks ago something like that and then I changed the passwords. Since then I am still getting occasional emails i know i haven't open showing as opened??

Have you got an android or smartphone which has your email account on it? could you have opened them on the phone?
You say you have 3 different email accounts are they all linked? possibly on your laptop?
Hope you can pinpoint the cause.

Yes they are used on smartphone. I am worried that someone had access to confidential stuff on emails, such as solicitor stuff

You can no longer receive hotmail through Windows Live. I had an email about this some time ago and had some techies load an email programme on just for hotmail

I receive my hotmail emails via Outlook. I've never had to install a programme for my hotmail account, which I've had for over 20 years.
